5. Overnight Pursuit Ends With Arrest – Nebraska
Lincoln Police arrested a man following a series of reports and sightings that started around 12:20 this morning.
LPD Lieutenant Jason Goodwin tells KLIN News a citizen reported a white Jeep driving recklessly and without lights near 40th & A. The vehicle was spotted next near 66th & Vine, then 70th & Old Cheney. Near 70th & Nebraska Parkway an officer deployed stop-sticks which flattened at least one tire.
The vehicle then headed East on Nebraska Parkway where an officer was able to begin a pursuit that lasted about 3-blocks when the Jeep went into the ditch at 87th & Nebraska Parkway.
Agustin Guzman ran from officers but was caught after a short pursuit and struggle. He is being held on numerous charges.

6. Kent man with over 12 convictions arrested in Des Moines for stolen car, gun possession – Iowa
Des Moines Police responded to a call on Friday about a man found passed out in a car, which was believed to be stolen.
When police arrived and approached the car, the man did not answer the officer’s calls before reaching for a gun.
The suspect then tried to drive off but hit spike strips before crashing into a boulder.
With the car disabled, the man jumped out and forced himself into a nearby home through an open garage.
Police say the suspect briefly fought with the homeowner when police shot the man with a taser.
After being handcuffed, police searched the car and found a stolen gun.

7. Police pursuit ends in arrest of man with multiple warrants – Washington
Both the driver, identified as Travis Ryan Abad, and the passenger surrendered, after the crash.
“The driver had multiple warrants, to include a felony escape warrant out of DOC for identity theft. The passenger had a warrant out of Pierce County Sheriff’s Department for four counts of drug dealing and possessing a gun without a permit,” TCSO reported.

8. Joy riding teens in a stolen car lead police on 120 mph chase in Trumbull County – Ohio
A 17-year-old boy and his 14-year-old girlfriend are accused of leading deputies and police on a chase through Trumbull County with speeds reaching 120 miles per hour.
According to the report, a deputy approached a car parked near Mosquito Lake and State Route 305 before 4 a.m. Thursday.
The deputy says the car sped away with its lights turned off.
The report said the driver began to travel recklessly and ran a red light while driving around 75 miles per hour.
The pursuit continued eastbound on State Route 5 as the deputy told Trumbull County 911 to notify the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Vienna and Liberty police, and other surrounding agencies.
The car continued south on State Route 11 with speeds over 120 miles per hour until its tires were flattened by spiked strips placed by police.
When the car slowed, the two ski-mask-wearing suspects jumped out and ran away. Both were stopped by deputies at gunpoint near a highway fence.

10. Woman leads police on extensive chase from Beaumont to Louisiana – Texas
BEAUMONT, Texas — A woman is in jail this afternoon after leading police on a lengthy chase that started in Beaumont and ended in Sulphur, Louisiana.
According to Louisiana State Police (LSP) Public Affairs Trooper Matt Gaspard, the chase started in Beaumont at around 1 p.m. when Beaumont police were dispatched to 595 IH 10 N (Common Cents Credit Union), in reference to a white female, attempting to cash a forged check in the drive through line.
The woman then bolted off in her white Jeep on I-10 eastbound towards Sulphur with Texas Highway patrolmen and then LSP troopers in hot pursuit.
BPD pursued the woman until she crossed state line into Louisiana, where they stopped their chase due to “unsafe conditions resulting from heavy traffic”.
“The driver turned around and went to Vinton on I-10 before exiting onto U.S. 90 and returning to Sulphur,” said Gaspard.
During the chase, the Jeep was reported to have traveled into the oncoming lane, forcing other motorists off the road and actively attempting to strike law enforcement vehicles with the suspect vehicle according to DPS.
Eventually Sulphur Police Department officers were able to deploy spike strips across U.S. 90 to deflate the fleeing car’s tires and finally put an end to the chase, according to SPD Public Information Officer Jason Gully.
Gaspard said the driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Brittany Miller of Onalaska, was arrested and charged by Louisiana State Police with felony aggravated flight, reckless operation, improper license plate display and driving under suspension. More charges are expected in Texas from Beaumont Police and Texas DPS.
