4. Police capture driver of suspected stolen car after she stops, tries to blend in – California
A woman was placed under arrest after a Los Angeles Police Department pursuit in the San Fernando Valley midday Tuesday.
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was behind the wheel of a silver Toyota Camry and Officer Lee told KTLA it is believed to have been stolen.
After traveling erratically on surface streets — sometimes reaching as high as 70 mph — the driver slowed down and came to a stop in the 14700 block of Arminta Street.
The woman hopped out of the vehicle and grabbed something from the trunk before returning to the driver’s seat and covering the windshield with a shade.

6. Gwinnett County bus hijacking: Atlanta police release dashcam, bodycam video of chase – Georgia
ATLANTA – Atlanta police have released a series of videos that show their efforts to stop the deadly Gwinnett County transit bus hijacking on June 11.
The dash camera footage shows police weaving between lanes to try and keep up with the rogue bus. Body camera footage shows two separate officers hopping out of their squad cars with stop sticks to try and stop the bus.
These videos supplement the high speed chase that FOX 5 Atlanta viewers watched in real time as SKYFOX 5 flew over the hijacking.
Media reports showed that 39-year-old Joseph Grier was at the scene of a shooting at a food court in downtown Atlanta before hopping on the transit bus and shooting a passenger that he had gotten into an argument with.
Police said after 58-year-old Ernest Byrd Jr. was shot, Grier held the bus driver, Ernst, at gunpoint and forced him to drive all the way to Stone Mountain.

7. Teens Nabbed After Parkdale Burglary, Police Pursuit – Australia
Using the car’s tracking technology, investigators were able to monitor the vehicle as it travelled towards Bangholme, before returning to the Mordialloc area.
Police spotted the Ford at a reserve in Parkdale before deploying stop sticks to prevent the teens from fleeing in the vehicle.
The group of teens spotted officers and fled the scene on foot.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, Dog Squad, Highway Patrol officers and uniform officers, all five were arrested nearby a short time later.
Four 14-year-old girls and one 13-year-old girl are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

8. Police chase near Felton ends in the arrest of Rehoboth man on drug charges – Delaware
FELTON, Del. – A Rehoboth man is behind bars tonight on drug charges after police say he led them on a chase near Felton.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday when troopers on patrol on South Dupont Highway saw a black GMC Yukon operated by 38-year-old Joey Finney, of Rehoboth Beach.
Detectives recognized Finney from previous investigations, and knew he had active warrants for his arrest, which a computer check confirmed, according to police.
When troopers tried to pull Finney over in the parking lot of Royal Farms, police say he sped away and that’s when the chase ensued.
During the pursuit, troopers reportedly saw Finney throw an object out of the Yukon while driving in a reckless manner on several Felton area streets and roads.
Finney finally came to a stop in the parking lot of Uncle Willie’s on Reeves Crossing Road after detectives successfully deployed stop sticks.
Police searched the area and found a cigarette pack that they say was thrown from the Yukon that contained 5.06 grams of powder cocaine and .07 grams of heroin.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three teenagers are detained, and a fourth suspect on the loose, after police chased a stolen car Thursday night, ending in a foot chase in Parkway Village.
Officers received a report of a stolen car at 6:40 in the area of Mendenhall and Fox Plaza. Once they saw the vehicle, they waited for additional units.
But when the driver saw more officers, they changed direction to get away. An officer deployed stop sticks, which flattened multiple tires.
Police trailed the vehicle at low speeds until it stopped at Knightway and Aloha. Four suspects got out and ran on foot, and three were caught, police said.
