High-Speed Crime Wave: Fairfield traffic stop leads to ‘copious amount of marijuana,’ pills and chase – California
The Fairfield Police Department said officers recently arrested two people after they found a “copious amount of marijuana, prescription pills, and other property indicative of narcotic sales” in a vehicle.
First, on March 11, a Fairfield police officer reportedly pulled over a vehicle with two occupants inside. The officer then developed probable cause to search it.
Subsequently, after the 27-year-old driver learned police would search the car, he led officers on a pursuit, according to police. However, officers deployed spike strips, and the vehicle came to a stop on Airbase Parkway, just before the eastbound 80 on-ramp.
Officials said officers arrested and booked both the 27-year-old driver and the 30-year-old passenger into jail. They face multiple drug charges and felony reckless evading.

THOMPSON SPRINGS, Utah (KUTV) — Over 50 pounds of meth were seized after a pursuit reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour through Grand County.
Deputies were patrolling I-70 just after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday when they said a black Ford Escape with a Colorado license plate was not staying in its lane as it drove by.
They attempted to stop the vehicle, which belonged to a rental company, near mile marker 189 with their lights and sirens on.

GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — Officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol have released the names of the individuals who led multiple police units through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio on Friday evening.
According to the OSHP, Scott McNary, 40, of 84, PA, was driving with passenger Shande Sickman of Cambridge in Washington County, PA, when the pursuit started.
Officials say Pennsylvania State Police asked the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department for assistance when the vehicle entered West Virginia.
McNary fled onto I-470 into Ohio, where the Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, took over the pursuit.
According to officials, the vehicle was stopped at mile marker 186 before Cambridge after a successful deployment of spike strips.

Roy Wayne Ramsey, 56, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights second offense, possession of methamphetamine 3rd or subsequent offense, and resisting arrest.
According to the police report, on Saturday an officer tried to stop Ramsey’s car at Highway 9 Bus and Liberty Church Road due to a defective tag and brake lights.
The reporting officer said Ramsey turned onto Liberty Church Road and sped away, entering North Carolina and escaping the officer.

High-Speed Crime Wave: Attempted murder fugitive busted in North Carolina with guns, drugs, sheriff says – North Carolina
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A fugitive wanted on attempted murder charges out of New Jersey was caught in Rowan County following a chase, and nearly a dozen guns along with a drug stash were seized from his vehicle, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies in Rowan County spotted a vehicle on Interstate 85 near Exit 76 previously reported by another agency as ‘fleeing’ after an attempted traffic stop. Area deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle for a speeding violation and the vehicle fled, and a chase began on I-85 North.
The chase continued from Rowan County, into Davidson County, into Alamance County, through Orange County, and Durham County, the sheriff’s office said.

High-Speed Crime Wave: Man suspected of killing 3 people in Philadelphia area arrested in New Jersey, police say – Pennsylvania
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Police arrested a man suspected of fatally shooting three family members in their Philadelphia-area homes Saturday. He evaded law enforcement for hours, forcing police to mobilize across two states. Consequently, police shut down a parade and an amusement park and ordered some residents to stay in their homes.
Steve Wilson, police director for the city of Trenton, New Jersey, said officers arrested the man near a house where they had believed he was barricaded inside. However, he apparently left the home before police erected the cordon, Wilson said.
Furthermore, Wilson added that he did not believe the suspect was armed at the time.

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — The I-team is investigating what’s behind a wild crime spree and high-speed chase through the Triangle last week.
Some of it was caught on camera at Mazda Sport Durst off US15-501.
The video shows a car ramming into the side gate of the dealership. Someone gets out of the car and looks around but doesn’t take anything.
What these guys want–allegedly teenagers–is across the street.
“It’s mainly all the high-performance type vehicles,” said Sport Durst, long-time owner of Sport Durst. “Just the motors alone are worth a ton of money.”

COLUSA COUNTY – A suspect who led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase in Colusa County Tuesday morning is now under arrest.
Specifically, authorities did not detail exactly where the chase started, but the chase ended in Williams.
CHP says the suspect, who drove a Dodge Challenger, allegedly hit speeds up to 135 mph during the chase.
Ultimately, police in Williams helped end the chase by deploying some spike strips, CHP says. The driver, whose name authorities have not released, gave up and was arrested without further incident.

High-Speed Crime Wave: High-Speed Chase Through Fairfield Ends with San Francisco Man Arrested for Stolen Vehicle and Outstanding Warrants – California
A high-speed chase happened in Fairfield, California. A routine vehicle scan became a dramatic pursuit on March 9. An officer spotted a stolen vehicle. The driver was 24-year-old Wilhem Rivas. Rivas had a felony arrest warrant. This was posted by the Fairfield Police Department. Rivas was not just a suspected car thief. He hailed from San Francisco. Rivas had prior warrants on his rap sheet. These were for supervision violations. Warrants were in San Montano and San Francisco Counties. A CHP helicopter soared above the chase. Fairfield police attempted a felony stop. Rivas quickly pushed the pedal to the metal. He started the chase from Lopes Road. The chase went to Auto Plaza Court. Rivas zigzagged to Dixon on eastbound Highway 80. He then doubled back toward the west.
