1. 1 arrested, 1 at large after cross county high speed chase – Georgia

SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – According to Sumter County Sheriff Eric Bryant, a traffic stop in Crisp County escalated into a vehicle pursuit that continued into Sumter County on Tuesday night.
According to the incident report, a Crisp County deputy was pursuing a red Mercedes on Highway 280 East. They were traveling at a high rate of speed, estimated to be about 129 miles per hour.
A deputy unsuccessfully tried to stop the vehicle at the intersection of Highway 280 East and Highway 195. The vehicle then turned and began traveling west bound on Lamar Road, according to the incident report.
Deputies successfully intercepted the vehicle at the intersection of Lamar Road and District Line Road using stop sticks. The vehicle continued a short distance, and then wrecked in the 600 block of Highway 280 East nearly one mile from where it was intercepted. After the wreck, the driver got out and ran to a nearby home. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office located the driver in a garage storage room near where the vehicle was found. The passenger has not been located.

Two men are facing 18 weapons-related charges after they fled from police on Friday night.
At 11:30 p.m., March 14, 2025, Saskatoon police officers observed a white SUV in the area of Avenue P South and 20th Street West. The SPS Air Support Unit observed it travelling at high rates of speed as it continued south, out of the city.
Using technology equipped to the plane, officers observed the occupants of the vehicle discarding items as they continued to evade police. These items were later found to include a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, and a can of bear spray.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed by members of the RCMP south of Blaine Lake, and two men, ages 26 and 33, were taken into custody.
Both men are charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Tampering with Serial Number, Possession of Dangerous Weapon, Unauthorized Possession in Motor Vehicle, and Possession Contrary to Order.
The 26-year-old driver faces additional charges of Dangerous Driving and Fail to Stop.

7. Report: Police arrest driver who led officers on chase to Warren in car with no back tires – Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said a 19-year-old man late Saturday led city police on a chase from the South Side to Warren in a car that had no back tires.
Pearce was arrested about 10:20 p.m. on Bane Avenue SW in Warren after a chase that began almost 30 minutes earlier at Mineral Springs Avenue and Volney Road.
Reports said Pearce was driving a stolen car that was chased by Boardman police, who ended the pursuit when the car entered Youngstown. City police picked up the car at Mineral Springs Avenue and Volney Road but it would not stop, reports said.
Reports said when city police picked up the chase, the car only had one back tire.
Police put out stop sticks at Glenwood Avenue and Mercer Street and blew out the second back tire, but the car still would not stop. Instead, it headed west up Mahoning Avenue to North Meridian Road before turning and heading north.

8. Suspect Arrested Following Low-Speed Pursuit Through Watauga and Wilkes Counties – North Carolina

On March 18, 2024, a deputy with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Infiniti traveling south on U.S. Highway 421 near North Pine Run Road. The vehicle was observed driving erratically and operating at approximately 35 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
Upon initiating the stop, the driver failed to yield, switched lanes, and executed a U-turn, proceeding toward Deep Gap. Based on the driver’s behavior, the deputy suspected impairment. Emergency lights and sirens were activated, but the vehicle continued traveling toward Deep Gap without stopping.
In an effort to safely end the pursuit, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) deployed spike strips on U.S. 421 near Orchard Road. However, the suspect avoided them by changing lanes. The pursuit continued into Wilkes County at speeds of approximately 35 MPH, with the driver successfully evading two additional spike strip deployments.

10. Florida man leads deputies on high-speed chase in stolen car – Florida

A convicted felon is back in jail after deputies say he led them on a high-speed chase in a stolen car. The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office says the man only stopped when his tires popped over a set of stop sticks. He then abandoned the car and was walking on the side of the road before he was apprehended.
