LEWISTOWN, Mo. — An Eldon, Mo., man was arrested April 11 on multiple charges after a vehicle pursuit through Lewis County and into Marion County.
A Lewis County Sheriff’s Department deputy was on routine patrol and noticed a vehicle that seemed to be broken down on Missouri Route 6 near Granite Avenue in Lewistown. The deputy requested an ID from the driver, which he gave to the deputy. The driver fled in his vehicle, going west on Route 6.
The deputy initiated a pursuit which traveled through gravel roads. The suspect ran off the road several times. The vehicle then traveled into Marion County, where deputies used spike strips to stop the vehicle. Harold D. Fogle, 63, was arrested on an outstanding Missouri Department of Corrections parole warrant and placed in the Lewis County Jail.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department sought official charges through Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger, who applied for a warrant. Judge Corey Moon issued the warrant on April 16.
Fogle later was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; resisting arrest by fleeing, a Class E felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D misdemeanor; no valid operator’s license, a Class A misdemeanor; and careless and imprudent operation of a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor.
Mr. Fogle remains in the Lewis County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
The sheriff’s department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
SP Sudhir Joshi said ASP Sarita Singh directed the operation under supervision of Nimbahera DSP Badri Lal Rao. The team set up a barricade on the road from Kanera to Vijaypura and spotted a car coming at high speed with two individuals inside. When signaled to stop, the driver broke through the barricade and sped away. Simultaneously, the driver of a following pickup truck attempted to flee at high speed. ALLEN, Texas — An officer-involved shooting left a suspect wounded Saturday morning in Allen after he pulled out a gun during a traffic stop, police said.
According to a news release from the Allen Police Department, an officer initiated a traffic stop on a car for no rear license plate around 10:48 a.m.
Police said during the stop, the suspect made “sudden” movement and pulled out a long gun from inside the car, while saying aggressive things towards the officer.
In response, police said the officer went to the back of the suspect’s car and fired his weapon four times. Police said the suspect, identified as Rick Reamy, 33, then fled the scene in the car.
According to the news release, Allen police began a pursuit, which carried over into the City of Plano. With Plano officers’ help, they were able to deploy stop sticks, which punctured multiple holes in Reamy’s tires.
MECHANIC FALLS, Maine (WMTW) – A Massachusetts man is in custody early Thursday morning after an overnight shooting incident in Paris that eventually led to a chase that ended in a serious crash about 4 miles away in Mechanic Falls.
According to Maine State Police, a trooper first started investigating a report of shots fired on Park Street in Paris at about 11:33 p.m. Wednesday. When the officer got there, they saw a blue SUV driving away from the scene.
An attempt to stop the SUV in West Paris a short time later was unsuccessful. Police say the driver, 24-year-old Luis Andres Lorenzo Rondon, refused to stop and started leading police on a chase.
Police say they were able to disable the vehicle using spike strips on Route 26 in Mechanic Falls, and Rondon went off the road and crashed into a field.
JACKSON, Wyo. — A 26-year-old man has been arrested following a high-speed chase involving both the Jackson Police Department (JPD) and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
According to a press release by the Town of Jackson, JPD was informed of a car crash around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, followed by multiple additional reports of vehicle collisions. Officers located the offender, but the vehicle did not yield.
Officers then pursued the vehicle in question out of town limits and down US89 at a “high rate of speed” until the driver turned into the Game Creek subdivision, where spike strips were used to stop the vehicle, according to TCSO. The single occupant of the vehicle was arrested by JPD.
LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Findlay man is being held in the Allen County Jail on charges stemming from a 2021 incident in which he allegedly fired at law enforcement officers during a pursuit around Bluffton.
Ronald Powell Jr., 53, was indicted by the April Allen County Grand Jury on charges of felonious assault, discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, having weapons under disability, breaking and entering, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and theft.
In December 2021, a Bluffton police officer attempted to pull Powell over, and a chase ensued. Powell allegedly fired shots from his vehicle at the officer during the pursuit, then stopped on Bentley Road and fired more shots at the officer, who returned fire. Powell and his passenger, Amanda Wrede, fled on foot and hid in a nearby wooded area. Law enforcement apprehended Wrede, but Powell escaped and allegedly stole a vehicle from a Bluffton business.
Powell later traveled to Toledo, where police officers engaged him in another pursuit. During the chase, Powell struck a Toledo police cruiser. Officers deployed stop sticks to disable the tires of the stolen vehicle, and he eventually surrendered to authorities in Monroe County, Michigan. A loaded firearm was found inside the vehicle.

PICKAWAY & ROSS COUNTIES, OH — A high-speed pursuit that began with a simple speeding violation in Commercial Point early Wednesday escalated into a multi-agency chase across two counties, ending only after the suspect struck a deer at 85 mph and officers deployed stop sticks. Along the way, suspected drugs were thrown from the fleeing vehicle and later recovered by deputies.
The incident began around 2:05 a.m. on April 16, when Commercial Point Police Officers Hiroki Barker and Lucas Forte attempted to stop a black Kia Soul (Ohio plate KFY1530) for speeding. The driver failed to comply, launching a high-speed chase that reached speeds of over 100 mph.
The pursuit traveled south on SR 104 through Pickaway County and into Ross County via Chillicothe Pike and Williamsport Pike. During the pursuit, officers reported that occupants of the vehicle were tossing objects from the car. Commercial Point Police broadcast via radio that baggies were thrown near a curve on Williamsport Pike, referred to as the “90.”
The search for 20-year-old Anthony Mojica has come to an end with his arrest by Charlotte County deputies.
Deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office STAR unit received a tip about Mojica’s whereabouts on Camilla Lane just before 1 a.m. Thursday. After spotting Mojica’s white Nissan Altima, deputies attempted to stop him, but Mojica sped off, turning off his headlights and swerving into the opposite lane.
The pursuit involved assistance from the North Port Police Department.
As Mojica’s vehicle entered I-75 northbound, it swerved between lanes to evade a PIT maneuver. Near mile marker 180, stop sticks deployed by NPPD caused the Nissan’s front tire to deteriorate, slowing the vehicle from 120 mph to 65 mph. A PIT maneuver eventually stopped the vehicle near mile marker 182.
The chase started after 10 p.m. on Monday after officials got a call that a teenager was on his way to shoot someone, Grundy County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office said the teenager allegedly stole a gun and took a vehicle from a business in Peru, Illinois.
Officers tried to pull over the 17-year-old suspect on I-80 but lost him in the Ottawa area.
At about 10:30 p.m. Morris police saw the suspect allegedly driving recklessly on Route 6 near Arby’s restaurant.
The teenager allegedly led officers on a chase through Morris, Shorewood and then back into Grundy County.
A Morris police officer set up spike strips near Ridge Road and Midpoint Road, ending the pursuit.
A 17-year-old boy of Joliet was taken into custody. The sheriff’s office said the teen had a loaded .38 caliber handgun.
An off-duty police officer located a stolen car in a Warragul carpark, leading to the arrest of three teenagers.
Police said a gold Lexus, reported stolen from Traralgon, was seen in the Warragul Leisure Centre carpark at 10am on Sunday.
Following the report from an off-duty member, police successfully deployed stop sticks in the driveway and deflated all four tires.
Police arrested one teenager who fled on foot as well as an another two teenagers inside the centre.
A 15-year-old boy from Longwarry and a 15-year-old girl from Traralgon were charged and bailed to appear at children’s court at a later date.
A 13-year-old boy from Longwarry was released pending summons.
