Narragansett Police Officer Brings High-Speed Pursuit to a Safe End

Narragansett, RI – A dangerous high-speed pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion thanks to the quick thinking and decisive action of Officer Patrick Canavan of the Narragansett Police Department.

The pursuit began when Rhode Island State Police attempted a traffic stop on the suspect’s SUV. The vehicle quickly accelerated and began weaving through traffic in an attempt to evade state police.

Concerned for public safety, Rhode Island State Police were forced to terminate the pursuit. However, the suspect continued to flee, endangering themselves and others on the road.

Officer Canavan, anticipating the suspect’s route, strategically positioned himself to deploy Stop Stick® tire deflation devices. As the fleeing vehicle approached, Officer Canavan successfully deployed the Stop Stick®, flattening the remaining three tires and forcing the suspect to abandon the vehicle.

The suspect was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Officer Canavan’s swift action and skillful use of Stop Stick® played a crucial role in bringing this dangerous situation to a safe end.

Officer Canavan’s nomination for July’s Hit of the Month Award highlights the importance of Stop Stick® in preventing high-speed pursuits and protecting public safety. His dedication to duty and his ability to make critical decisions under pressure makes him a true hero in law enforcement.

Stop Stick Ends Pursuit, Leading to Drug Arrest and Construction Site Theft Investigation.

Clay County, Missouri – A routine traffic stop turned into a breakthrough for Clay County Sheriff’s deputies, thanks in part to the strategic use of Stop Stick® tire deflation devices.

The incident began when deputies noticed a truck with a fake license plate. Upon attempting a traffic stop, the driver fled, leading to a high-speed pursuit. Deputies successfully deployed Stop Stick®, bringing the chase to a safe conclusion.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a significant amount of drug paraphernalia. The suspects, who claimed to be searching for scrap metal, are now being investigated for potential involvement in a series of construction site thefts totaling over $5,000.

Stop Stick® Brings Multi-County Pursuit to a Safe End

Wellpinit, Washington – A multi-county high-speed pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion thanks to the quick thinking and decisive action of Officer R. Clark from the Spokane Tribal Police Department.

The pursuit began when the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a fleeing vehicle. As the suspect sped away, reaching speeds of 100 mph, the Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Spokane Tribal Police Department.

Officer Clark responded to the call and strategically deployed Stop Stick® tire deflation devices. The successful deployment flattened all four tires of the fleeing vehicle, effectively ending the pursuit less than a mile later.

This incident highlights the crucial role Stop Stick® plays in bringing dangerous high-speed pursuits to a safe conclusion. Officer Clark’s swift response and accurate deployment of Stop Stick® ensured the safety of the public and pursuing officers.

Clear Creek County Deputies Stop Fleeing Vehicle, Seize Fentanyl

Georgetown, Colorado – A high-speed pursuit involving a vehicle carrying a large quantity of Fentanyl was brought to a safe conclusion thanks to the quick thinking and decisive action of the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.

The pursuit began when Idaho Springs Police initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect fled the scene. The suspect led law enforcement on an 18-mile high-speed chase.

Clear Creek County deputies strategically deployed Stop Stick® tire deflation devices, successfully flattening all four tires of the fleeing vehicle. Despite the disabled vehicle, the suspect continued to drive for another six miles before surrendering.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, law enforcement discovered a significant amount of Fentanyl. The suspect was arrested and faces charges of possession of Fentanyl with intent to distribute and felony eluding.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office has been nominated for July’s Hit of the Month Award for their successful use of Stop Stick® in bringing this dangerous pursuit to a safe conclusion and preventing the distribution of deadly drugs.
