TOLEDO, Ohio — One person is in custody after they fled authorities in a stolen vehicle, according to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the release, deputies responded to northbound I-75 near the Michigan/Ohio border after receiving information that an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was pursuing an allegedly stolen vehicle – a 2020 Dodge Ram from Perrysburg.
OSHP terminated their pursuit near the state line, and Monroe County deputies took over the pursuit, intercepting the suspect vehicle near South Otter Creek Road. The vehicle did not stop for deputies, law enforcement said, and continued traveling north on I-75.
The deployment of stop-sticks deflated one of the tires on the suspect vehicle as the pursuit reached North Dixie Highway. The suspect then exited I-75 at Nadeau Road and pulled into the Pilot Travel Center, law enforcement said.
Deputies took the suspect into custody without further incident, according to the release. The suspect was identified as a 41-year-old male from Toledo.
The suspect was taken to the Monroe County jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of stolen property and narcotics violations.

6. Great Bend woman booked on felony flee and elude, meth charges – Kansas
A Great Bend woman was booked in Barton County Jail on felony drug possession as well as felony flee and elude following her arrest and a high-speed chase that ended near Pawnee Rock late Tuesday evening.
The Great Bend Sheriff’s office reported that Amanda Marie Enriquez, Great Bend, was stopped by an Ellinwood police officer for a traffic infraction at approximately 11:35 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Santa Fe Blvd. in Ellinwood. After stopping briefly, Enriquez then fled driving a white SUV and after driving down several streets in Ellinwood, continued west on U.S. 56 toward Great Bend.
The pursuit continued down 10th Street through Great Bend, and then west toward Pawnee Rock, with speeds reaching in excess of 115 mph.
Avoiding deployed stop sticks, Enriquez led the chase while turning the headlights off and on and at one point nearly collided with a semi.
At mile marker 194 near the town of Pawnee Rock, the Ellinwood officer, Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir and several Barton County deputies were able to use a rolling roadblock to bring the vehicle safely to a stop. The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.
Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were later located in the vehicle. Enriquez was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked in for felony flee and elude, possession of methamphetamine/paraphernalia, and driving while suspended. She is being held on $20,000 cash or surety bond.
Assisting agencies included the Great Bend Police Department and the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office.

8. Man charged after spike strips deployed, officer punched in south Lincoln chase – Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was arrested after driving under the influence twice in the same week, Lincoln Police said.
Agustin Guzman, 28, is charged with third-degree assault of an officer and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest. The charges follow two arrests made on Saturday and Monday.
Around 12:20 a.m. on Monday, police were alerted to a vehicle driving recklessly without its lights on in the northbound lane of South 40th Street. An officer spotted the vehicle traveling south on South 56th Street and started following it.
The vehicle turned east onto Normal Boulevard and entered the westbound lane, according to an arrest affidavit. It nearly collided with another vehicle head-on before swerving into the correct lane. The officer, then recognizing the danger the driver posed, worked on getting spike strips set up.
Another officer tried setting spike strips near South 70th Street and Old Cheney Road, but the vehicle sped past them, nearly striking their cruiser before turning west.
Spike strips successfully blew out the vehicle’s front tires near South 70th Street and Nebraska Parkway, but the vehicle didn’t come to a stop until South 87th Street. The driver, identified as Guzman, lost control and drove into the north ditch before running away on foot, police said.
An officer tackled Guzman, but he began throwing punches as officers tried getting him into handcuffs, court records show. One officer was hit on the head before a Taser was deployed on Guzman.

10. Man charged with fleeing from Oak Brook police in stolen car – Illinois
A Louisiana man has been charged with speeding from police in a stolen Cadillac early Friday while illegally in possession of a loaded handgun, DuPage County authorities said.
Aiden Coburn-Dishler, 20, faces one felony count each of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aiding or abetting the possession or sale of a stolen vehicle or parts, and aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer.
At about 1:22 a.m. Friday, an Oak Brook police officer tried to stop a 2017 Cadillac CTS on Midwest Road near 22nd Street, according to the DuPage state’s attorney’s office.
The officer turned on his emergency lights and sirens, and the car, driven by Coburn-Dishler, drove through a solid red light on 22nd Street and Midwest Road and then went on I-88 east, the state’s attorney’s office said in a news release. As officers pursued Coburn-Dishler, he reached speeds of approximately 123 mph, the release stated.
The pursuit continued onto I-290 near Mannheim Road, where another officer had set up spike strips to disable the car. Coburn-Dishler pulled over to the shoulder at I-290 and Mannheim, got out of the car and led officers on a foot chase across multiple lanes of I-290 and Mannheim Road, according to the release.
After a brief foot pursuit, officers took Coburn-Dishler into custody. Authorities alleged that when he was taken into custody, officers recovered a loaded Glock 17 Gen 4 handgun with a mounted laser scope and an extended magazine from a backpack Coburn-Dishler had with him.
After further investigation, authorities learned that the Cadillac was reported stolen out of a dealership in Bloomington, Indiana.
