Specifically, their submitted dashcam footage showcases an exemplary deployment by Sgt. Kohlmann. His tactical precision and seamless communication were pivotal in safely ending a dangerous multi-agency pursuit and capturing two suspects wanted for armed robbery and shooting an elderly man.

The Crime: Armed Robbery and Shooting

The high-stakes incident began in Omro, WI, when authorities reported an altercation during a Facebook Marketplace car purchase. As a result, two suspects, now accused of armed robbery and shooting a 65-year-old man. Fled in a U-Haul rental truck after the victim sustained a gunshot wound during a struggle for a firearm.

Multi-Agency Pursuit Unleashed

Law enforcement quickly located suspects, which in turn initiated a multi-jurisdictional chase, stated Omro Police. Officers from Fond du Lac, Winnebago, and Omro subsequently coordinated to contain the U-Haul. Employing strategic maneuvers like blocking I-41 ramps to prevent further public harm.
