Shooting Suspect Arrested After Stop Sticks Disable Vehicle: In Washington state, there were a series of shootings have plagued the state.  The terror was put to an end after the suspect was taken into custody.

A Serious Concern

            Around Interstate 5 in the Seattle and Tacoma areas of Washington, a series of shootings were arising.  The shootings left six people injured and fighting for their lives.  When asked about it, Captain Ron Mead replied by saying: “These people didn’t do something to deserve this.”  Because there was no reason for the shootings, fear has plagued most of the people in the area.  This led to finding the suspect becoming a number one issue for the police.

The Search

            Finding the suspect was very important to the police before more are affected.  The officers did whatever they could to find the person, and they were led to an apartment complex in Tacoma.  They staked him out, and when the person left the complex, his vehicle was disabled.  Stop Sticks were successfully deployed to disable the car.  After that, a deputy ordered the person to walk backwards with his hand up, and then to lay flat on his stomach.  Finally, the suspect was in handcuffs.  While being cuffed, the suspect repeated the words: “I’m not resisting.”

Aftermath

            After the arrest, troopers stopped Interstate 5 briefly to gather evidence.  The suspect remained compliant the entire time he was being transported.  He was first evaluated at a hospital and later transferred to the King County Jail.  The suspect is accused of first-degree assault.  The investigation is still ongoing and the state patrol communications director refused to speculate on any motive or mental state for the suspect.  It was also decided that the suspect to be kept unnamed.
