1. Police Pursuits Stop Stick® Interventions: Residents alarmed by weekend street takeovers as bodycam shows Glendale pursuit and arrest – Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Milwaukee Police responded to 12 reported street takeovers over the weekend, resulting in seven citations, one towed vehicle, and the arrest of an Illinois man after a police pursuit.
The takeovers raised concerns among residents across Milwaukee County. Police believe two of the incidents, located in Bay View and Glendale near the Bayshore Mall, are connected.
Body and dash camera video from the Glendale Police Department shows officers responding to a takeover at Port Washington Road and Silver Spring Drive. Officers pursued a vehicle they say was leaving the takeover. Video shows one officer deploying what appears to be a spike strip to stop the car.

Carbon County Deputies and Wyoming Troopers Corner Colorado Armed Robbery Suspect
Last week, Carbon County Sheriff Alex Bakken announced a successful multi-agency operation after local deputies assisted Colorado authorities in apprehending a fleeing, armed suspect. The crisis began on Wednesday, April 22nd, when dispatchers received an urgent report that a thief had stolen several firearms from a ranch in northern Moffat County, Colorado. According to the bulletin, the armed suspect was fleeing north directly toward Baggs, Wyoming.
In response to the threat, Sheriff Bakken deployed Carbon County sheriff’s deputies alongside Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers to flood the state line, while Colorado State Patrol officers simultaneously hunted for the suspect from the south.
Ultimately, this wall of law enforcement left the suspect with nowhere to run. Officers intercepted the vehicle, surrounded the threat, and took the suspect into custody without further incident, safely recovering the stolen firearms.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – The woman arrested and accused of killing former Rapides Sheriff William Earl Hilton has been indicted by a grand jury.
Ladonna Delrie, 53, of Pollock, is accused of murdering Hilton after fleeing from police in a suspected hit and run.
The indictment was passed down in court on Tuesday, April 28. Delrie is now officially being prosecuted for:
- First-degree murder
- Aggravated flight from an officer
- Simple criminal damage to property

4. Police Pursuits Stop Stick® Interventions: Mt. Juliet Police Capture Suspect After Spike Strip Stop And Foot Pursuit – Tennessee
Guardian Shield: Mt. Juliet Officers Deploy Spike Strips to Stop Repeat Fleeing Suspect
Late Tuesday night, a strategic police response by the Mt. Juliet Police Department led to the successful arrest of a reckless suspect. The incident began when automated license plate readers alerted officers that a vehicle carrying a stolen plate—reported missing earlier in April—had just crossed into Mt. Juliet from Nashville along Lebanon Road.
In order to avoid a dangerous high-speed chase, officers immediately coordinated an interception plan. Consequently, when the suspect turned around and drove recklessly back toward Nashville, officers deployed spike strips directly into the vehicle’s path, successfully puncturing the tires and disabling the car.
Shortly thereafter, officers discovered the vehicle abandoned on Matterhorn Drive near Lebanon Road after it veered off the roadway. To prevent an escape, the team quickly established a secure perimeter and began a ground search. As a result of their rapid containment, officers spotted the suspect, engaged in a brief foot pursuit, and tackled the individual into custody without further incident.
Furthermore, investigators later revealed a striking pattern. Specifically, they determined that this exact same suspect and vehicle had fled from Mt. Juliet officers back on April 21 using the very same stolen plate. Ultimately, thanks to proactive technology and flawless deployment tactics, officers took a dangerous, repeat offender off the streets.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man is in custody Wednesday morning after police said he held up traffic and pulled a gun out on several drivers, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The incident happened on Tuesday near Artelia and Dowdy Drive in Antioch.
Police said they found the 27-year-old Victor Martinez-Alencoste’s Dodge Charger in the middle of the intersection.
Martinez-Alencoste then led them on a chase through a neighborhood. Police put spike strips down to get him to stop.
The man got out of his vehicle and ran into a wooded area, but was found with the help of police K-9s.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police are warning community members of robbers targeting senior citizens in the Bay Area for their jewelry.
The suspects, according to the San Francisco Police Department, use deceptive tactics to steal jewelry, such as offering a victim a necklace and removing the jewelry while placing the fake gift on.
The latest incident happened on March 20, when a pair of suspects in a white SUV stole a necklace from a woman in the area of 17th Street and Cabrillo Avenue in San Francisco, authorities said.
Video released by the SFPD shows a white SUV approaching a woman, who appears to talk with someone inside the car.
A person in the back passenger seat of the car sticks their head out the window, reaches over at the woman’s neck, and takes her gold necklace, according to the video and police.

Newly Released Inmate Steals Fire Engine, Initiates Multi-Agency Pursuit
Late Tuesday night, Boulder Police officers responded to a report of a man trying to open home and car doors in the 4500 block of 19th Street. Upon arrival, officers located 33-year-old Richmond Takashi Johnson and took him into custody just around midnight. Consequently, authorities booked Johnson into the Boulder County Jail. However, per Colorado statute, jail staff released him just a few hours later, just after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Moments later, at approximately 3:39 a.m., Boulder Fire-Rescue crews arrived at the jail for an entirely unrelated medical call. While medics tended to the patient inside the facility, Johnson spotted the unattended fire engine, hopped into the driver’s seat, and sped away.
Immediately, Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the stolen engine and initiated a pursuit, quickly requesting assistance from the Boulder Police Department. Although law enforcement flashed their lights and sirens near 34th Street and Valmont Road, Johnson refused to stop the massive vehicle. Instead, he fled south on Foothills Parkway, turned east on Arapahoe, and finally headed north on Highway 287 as deputies scrambled to ahead of the pursuit to end the threat.

8. Police Pursuits Stop Stick® Interventions: Florida man arrested following pursuit across the Indiana/Michigan border – Indiana
On Monday night, a 39-year-old Florida man landed in custody after leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit. The incident began around 10:00 p.m. when Michigan authorities alerted the Indiana State Police (ISP) that a fleeing suspect was heading south on I-69 toward their border.
Immediately, ISP troopers moved into tactical positions. Consequently, the moment the suspect crossed into Indiana, officers deployed Stop Stick® tire deflation devices and successfully punctured the vehicle’s tires. As a result of the deflating tires, the suspect’s vehicle slowed significantly, forcing the driver to exit at the Toll Road. Instead of surrendering, however, the driver abandoned the moving car and fled on foot.
Fortunately, the foot escape cut short. An alert ISP Trooper quickly chased down the suspect, tackled the threat, and booked him into the Steuben County Jail.

Recently, St. Joseph County prosecutors charged a pair in their 20s with Armed Robbery after the suspects allegedly stole a man’s phone at gunpoint and led police officers on a high-speed chase across Mishawaka and South Bend. Specifically, authorities charged 22-year-old Justin Griffin and 20-year-old Destiny Austin with Level 3 Felony Armed Robbery, Level 6 Felony Pointing a Firearm at Another, and Misdemeanor Resisting Law Enforcement.
The incident began on April 23 around 10:30 p.m. when Mishawaka Police officers rushed to an apartment regarding an active armed robbery. Upon arrival, the officers interviewed a male victim. According to his statement, Austin and Griffin pulled a gun on him, stole his phone, and immediately fled the scene in a Chevy Impala.
Furthermore, the victim explained the events leading up to the crime. Initially, he and a group of three individuals, including Austin and Griffin, visited the apartment earlier that evening. However, an argument broke out, prompting the victim to tell the trio to leave. Instead of departing peacefully, Austin and Griffin escalated the dispute into an armed assault before initiating a dangerous, multi-jurisdictional pursuit.

10. Police Pursuits Stop Stick® Interventions: Dashcam video shows spike strips stop shoplifting suspects after police pursuit; 2 arrested in Fort Worth – Texas
Recently, dashcam video shows the moment two shoplifting suspects were arrested in Fort Worth following a chase, in which an officer threw out spike strips to disable the vehicle.
According to the North Richland Hills Police Department, at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a shoplifting report at a department store off Boulevard 26 near Precinct Line. Specifically, the department said two suspects, later identified as 31-year-old Dominic Fabela and 36-year-old Sophia Rodriguez. Were seen fleeing the store in a vehicle after allegedly taking merchandise.
Consequently, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but a chase began instead.
Ultimately, NRHPD said with the help of the Fort Worth Police Department, the vehicle was stopped after an officer used spike strips. The moment was captured on video, where you see the vehicle finally pull over with both suspects putting their hands out the window.
