1. Stops Across State Lines: Suspect arrested after multi-county pursuit on IH-37 – Texas

SAN ANTONIO – A suspect with outstanding warrants was taken into custody late last night following a pursuit that began in southern Atascosa County and ended in Bexar County.
Just before midnight, an Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near FM 140 and Avenue E while patrolling in Christine, Texas.
According to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, the driver refused to stop and fled the scene.
During the pursuit, the driver entered Interstate 37 and began traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. Instead of continuing directly behind the vehicle, the deputy moved onto the access road while keeping the suspect in sight to maintain safety. Within a few miles, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper arrived to assist. The driver then moved back to the correct side of the highway but continued fleeing.
With Atascosa County deputies and DPS troopers in pursuit, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office was alerted and set up spike strips near the Bexar-Atascosa County line in an attempt to stop the vehicle.
BULLARD, Texas — A brief police pursuit involving Bullard Police occurred Thursday afternoon, beginning in southern Smith County.
According to initial information, officers were attempting to stop a suspect wanted for evading when the pursuit began. During the chase, law enforcement deployed spike strips in an effort to safely bring the vehicle to a stop.
The pursuit ultimately ended near the intersection of FM 346 East and County Road 15, where the suspect was detained following the successful spike deployment. No injuries or major collisions were immediately reported, Bullard police said.

3. Stops Across State Lines: One arrested after high-speed chase on I-44 – Oklahoma

Monday, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigators, caught 8-suspects stealing high-value items of a stationary Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Freight Train. The theft was taking place just outside of Joseph City and involved a UHaul truck, a truck pulling a box trailer and a van. As officers arrived, the suspects fled. The van was stopped with spike strips at which time the suspects tried to run. All were caught. The other vehicles were found abandoned and the stolen items were returned to BNSF. All 8-suspects were identified as undocumented foreign nationals. The suspects were then turned over to federal authorities.

4. Stops Across State Lines: California man arrested in Perry after high-speed pursuit – Texas

A Dallas County Deputy Sheriff arrested a 24-year-old California man Wednesday night after a high-speed pursuit spanning from Dallas Center to Perry.
The incident began around 7:00 p.m. when the deputy clocked Chandler Joseph Hughes driving 71 mph in a 35 mph zone. Although the deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop, Hughes accelerated and snaked through city streets. Because the Lexus flew past pedestrians at high speeds, the deputy temporarily terminated the chase to ensure public safety.
However, the pursuit reignited shortly after when Perry Police officers spotted the vehicle traveling northbound on J Avenue. During the chase, Hughes reached speeds of 110 mph, racing across gravel roads and even through a farm field.
To stop the reckless driver, officers successfully deployed Stop Stick® tire deflation devices. The strips hobbled the Lexus, which eventually came to rest in the 1200 block of 141st Street. At that point, officers took Hughes into custody at gunpoint.
Authorities charged Hughes with eluding and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, they issued citations for reckless driving, speeding, and driving without a license or insurance.

5. Stops Across State Lines: Cuyahoga County man accused of leading Warren police on chase – Ohio

Pecos County deputies arrested a man Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted law enforcement officers and led them on a high-speed pursuit along I-10.
Similarly, Warren police apprehended 22-year-old Alexander Solorzano Benavides following a complex chase through city streets on Monday night. The incident began when officers attempted to stop a vehicle for running a red light at West Market Street and Tod Avenue. Instead of complying, Solorzano Benavides accelerated and fled from the scene.
As the pursuit intensified, the suspect led units through nearly a dozen different roadways, including East Market Street and Perkinswood Boulevard. To end the danger, officers strategically deployed Stop Stick® tire deflation devices, which successfully disabled the vehicle on Central Parkway.
Upon taking Solorzano Benavides into custody, police discovered a loaded rifle in the back of the car. Furthermore, investigators solved the mystery of the vehicle’s hidden registration. During the chase, a tinted cover obscured the license plate; however, officers found a remote control inside the car that toggled the cover to make the plate visible.
Warren Municipal Court records confirm that Solorzano Benavides faces several felonies, including failure to comply with a police order, improper handling of firearms, and possession of criminal tools. Additionally, he received citations for traffic violations and using unlawful plate materials. Following his arraignment on Tuesday, March 10, he posted a $75,000 bond and will return to court on March 16.

A North Royalton man now faces charges in Warren after officers stopped his 2025 Mercedes-Benz with Stop Stick® tire deflation devices following a high-speed pursuit.
The incident began Monday night when police attempted to pull over 22-year-old Alexander Solorzano Benavides for running a red light at West Market Street and Tod Avenue SW. Instead of stopping, Solorzano Benavides fled, snaking through several side streets and racing up East Market Street. As the chase entered Central Parkway, a second officer strategically deployed Stop Stick® to disable the luxury vehicle.
Once the car came to a halt, officers searched the interior and discovered a loaded rifle on the backseat floorboard. During the pursuit, a tinted license plate cover had prevented officers from reading the car’s registration. However, the search uncovered a remote control device inside the vehicle. When officers pressed “off,” the plate cover shifted from a dark tint to completely clear, revealing an Ohio license plate that read “VRROOMM.”

8. Stops Across State Lines: Minor arrested for speeding, meth possession following high speed chase on Highway 21 – Idaho

IDAHO CITY, Idaho — A minor is now in juvenile detention for drug possession and speeding charges following a high-speed chase on Highway 21, according to Boise County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, a deputy saw a white sedan speeding and passing other vehicles illegally. When the deputy signaled to the sedan with his car’s emergency lights, the car took off at “more than double” the posted speed limit.
There were two people inside the car — both are under the age of 18. No other information was released about either person because of their ages, according to the sheriff’s department.
Another Boise County deputy set up spike strips at the section of Robie Creek, which forced the vehicle to stop near milepost 20, according to the sheriff’s office.
With help from a K9 officer, deputies located multiple “illegal controlled substances” inside the car, which included methamphetamine.

10. Stops Across State Lines: Louisville area man in jail after multi-county pursuit – Kentucky

A Louisville area man is in jail after leading law enforcement on a multi-county pursuit through western Kentucky.
Just after 9 p.m. Sunday, a Kentucky State Police Trooper tried to stop a vehicle in Wickliffe after noticing an equipment violation. When the trooper hit his lights, the driver, 23-year-old Damon L. Crawford of Shively, refused to stop and fled along KY 286 at high speed.
The trooper pursued Crawford through Ballard and into McCracken County along US 62. Two attempts at using spike strips, one at North Gum Springs Road and the other near I-24, were able to deflate two of the vehicle’s tires.
