KCPD Takes Down Overnight Illegal Street Racing With the Help of Stop Stick

On Friday, May 24th, KCPD managed to stop dozens of motorcycles and ATVs who were street racing illegally late Friday night into Saturday morning with the help of Stop Sticks.
The KCPD announced that they towed nine vehicles, made several arrests, and they cited dozens for street racing, spectating, and hazardous moving violations. The KCPD announced that they will be focusing on entertainment districts downtown.
In the past couple of months, this is the second time the KCPD made a concentrated effort to stop something like this. In April, Stop Sticks were used to stop street racers. This also led to dozens of traffic citations.
Street racing is a dangerous issue that needs to be taken care of because it affects the innocent people do not participate the most. It appears that the Kansas City Police Department agrees with this and is taking them very seriously. With the help of Stop Sticks the KCPD is looking to improve the city.
