CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A man accused of firing gunshots from his vehicle and leading law enforcement on a pursuit in Kanawha County appeared in court Monday.

Jesse Dale Cobb, of Sissonville pleaded guilty to wanton endangerment following a June 2024 vehicle pursuit.

Court records said Cobb fired a gun from his pickup while traveling through Charleston and South Charleston, striking an occupied vehicle on the trunk.

Law enforcement officers were led on a high-speed chase that ended with spike strips being deployed along Route 119 near Alum Creek Road. Deputies said Cobb exited the vehicle, ignored commands from officers and “kept yelling for everyone to shoot him.”

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Two boys and an 18-year-old are in custody following the chase of a stolen vehicle that ended at 42nd Street and Welcome Way.

Currently, deputies say charges on all individuals involved are pending.

The incident began around 6:45 a.m. when the Scott Emergency Communication Center received multiple calls. Callers reported two boys and a man attempting to break into a gray Toyota Camry in Long Grove, according to a media release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

Subsequently, deputies responded to the area but did not immediately find the Toyota. Officials learned the Toyota might be heading east, and deputies located it outside of Parkview, where they attempted a traffic stop.

However, the Toyota continued to drive south on Scott Park Road, deputies said.
