KSLA by Joliyah Daughtry
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – A man is in custody after a domestic-related police pursuit shut down both directions of Interstate 220 in Bossier City, according to the Bossier City Police Department.
The incident stemmed from a domestic situation. Officers were searching for the man when they spotted his vehicle, prompting a chase. Spike strips were deployed to stop the car.
The pursuit led to a standoff on I-220 between Swan Lake Road and Benton Road, closing all eastbound and westbound lanes. Just moments ago, the man got out of his car and was taken into custody, Bossier City police said.
A man was arrested in Anson County after fleeing deputies in Union County following an attempted traffic stop.
Union County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 74 after the driver was seen failing to maintain lane control. But the vehicle fled when the deputy turned on his blue lights.
The driver made a U-turn, drove through a grass median, and reentered the highway, officials said.
During the more than 16-mile pursuit, the driver drove more than 100 mph, crossed the center line multiple times, and threw items from his vehicle.
The chase traveled into Anson County, where local sheriff’s deputies assisted in the pursuit and deployed stop sticks, bringing the vehicle to a stop, officials said.
The driver, identified as Devonte Robinson, was then arrested. Officials said he showed clear signs of impairment.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. — A man is facing multiple charges after he stole an ambulance with a patient secured in the back and led officers on an 18-mile pursuit across central Wisconsin, according to the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department.
The incident began around 5:37 p.m. on Feb. 17 while Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department personnel were providing medical care at a residence in the 1400 block of 22nd Avenue South.

5. Puncturing the Pursuit: High-speed pursuit ends with arrest of Eagle Crest man – Oregon
KTVZ 21 by Harley Coldiron
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — An Eagle Crest man was arrested Friday morning following a series of high-speed pursuits that spanned several hours across Deschutes County. Doug R. Greaser, 54, was taken into custody after law enforcement used spike strips and a PIT maneuver to stop his vehicle on Eagle Crest Boulevard.
The incident began around 8:12 a.m. on Feb. 20 in Sisters and involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, State Police and the Black Butte Police Department. Greaser is accused of multiple counts of reckless driving and eluding police before being apprehended nearly 3 hours after the initial encounter.
The first encounter began at 8:12 a.m. in the Sisters area. A deputy attempted to stop Greaser after observing him driving aggressively, which included brake-checking the patrol vehicle and driving over a roundabout. Greaser failed to yield and continued through Sisters, but the deputy opted not to pursue the vehicle at that time for safety reasons.
Greaser was seen returning to Sisters at 8:53 a.m., where deputies were joined by the Oregon State Police and the Black Butte Police Department. During a second attempted traffic stop, Greaser fled east on Highway 20. Deputies successfully performed a Pursuit Intervention Technique, or PIT maneuver, but Greaser regained control of the vehicle and continued at a high rate of speed toward Tumalo and Bend. This pursuit was eventually terminated to protect public safety.
The incident resumed at 11:07 a.m. in the Eagle Crest area after a resident reported that a vehicle was following them. Deputies identified the car as the same vehicle involved in the morning pursuits. Law enforcement used multiple sets of spike strips and a second PIT maneuver to bring the vehicle to a stop on Eagle Crest Boulevard.

La Porte County Police arrested a 22-year-old Knox man early this morning after a hair-raising pursuit that crossed county lines at speeds well over 100 mph.
Initially, a deputy clocked Logen Fletcher traveling 110 mph on U.S. 30 around 12:30 a.m. As soon as the officer caught up to the vehicle, Fletcher accelerated even further, pushing the car to a dangerous 130 mph. To prevent a tragedy, officers coordinated a tire deflation attempt just ten minutes into the chase.
Executing the plan perfectly, police deployed stop sticks that flattened Fletcher’s tires and forced the high-speed pursuit to a halt. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered a loaded gun sitting near a diaper bag and a car seat.
Ultimately, authorities transported Fletcher to the La Porte County Jail. Currently, he faces charges of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving as investigators look into the presence of the weapon.
7. Puncturing the Pursuit: DeKalb woman charged after road rage, police chase – Illinois
WSPY News
A 38-year-old DeKalb woman, Kara L. Hale, now faces multiple charges including aggravated fleeing, reckless driving, and several other offenses following a chaotic series of events on Tuesday.
Initially, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a woman jumping out of her car to yell at passing motorists in Kingston. Although deputies searched the area, they could not immediately locate the suspect. Shortly thereafter, more calls flooded in reporting road-rage incidents near Peace Road and Fairview Drive.
Later that day, deputies finally spotted the vehicle performing burnouts near Gurler Road and South Fourth Street. When officers attempted to intervene, Hale led them on a short high-speed chase. However, the Sheriff’s Office quickly terminated the pursuit to ensure public safety.
The situation escalated again when police spotted the vehicle near Sycamore High School. As Hale fled for a second time, officers strategically deployed spike strips. Successfully, the strips struck one of the tires, eventually forcing the vehicle to a halt and leading to a final foot pursuit where deputies apprehended Hale.

On Thursday, a White County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a vehicle with a suspended registration leaving a Huck’s convenience store. Immediately, the deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the driver floored the accelerator and fled at speeds reaching 90 mph.
Shortly after the chase began, Sheriff Weiss ordered the deputy to terminate the pursuit due to the suspect’s dangerous driving. However, he instructed the deputy to maintain a safe distance and keep the vehicle in sight. While fleeing along county roads, the suspect began tossing bags containing a white substance out of the window.
As the chase approached the city, the driver turned onto Illinois Highway 141 and entered Carmi. To intervene, Carmi Police strategically deployed spike strips at the city limits. Although the strips successfully deflated the tires, the driver refused to quit, limping the vehicle through town and back onto the county roads.
Finally, the disabled car could go no further. The suspect came to a complete stop on Highway 141 near the Wabash River Bridge, where officers took the driver into custody without further incident.

KPQ by Chris Hansen
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office recently released new details regarding the arrest of a 34-year-old Renton man following a dangerous high-speed chase.
