Bellevue detectives arrested a 29-year-old male and 24-year-old female at a Renton hotel Friday. The pair is suspected of multiple car thefts from car dealerships across the state. Investigators say on Aug. 2, they drove a suspected stolen vehicle to a Bellevue dealership and asked the salesperson to move a similar vehicle to compare with theirs. They then asked for the Carfax report, and when the salesman returned, both vehicles were gone.

FCSO Arrest Man Who Fled Traffic Stop, Hid In SwampFlorida

23 year-old Alunzo Peoples was arrested on Thursday by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office after fleeing a traffic stop and hiding in a swamp. It took deputies almost five hours after the initial stop to get him cuffs and take him to jail. Peoples was pulled over by a deputy at 12:40 am on Thursday for driving with a suspended license. He was driving on SR-100 past US-1 in Bunnell, and upon seeing the patrol car approaching he whipped a u-turn and began driving west. He blew through the traffic light at US-1, and continued onto SR-11 in the westbound lane (SR-100 becomes SR-11 when it crosses US-1).

Dallas cops were chasing Boulware south on Interstate 45 early Saturday, away from police headquarters on Lamar Street, where Boulware had fired at officers and left pipe bombs.

An early morning police chase ended with a suspect in custody after she rammed law enforcement cruisers. Shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, Wilmington officers tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation on North Wall Street near East Main Street. The female driver did not stop, prompting a slow-speed chase, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

A 22-year-old man is being questioned by Darien police after a car reported as stolen crashed into another vehicle Wednesday morning. According to a news release on the city’s Facebook page, a car was heading east at about 5 a.m. on 75th Street in Naperville when it passed a license plate reader. That’s when police found out the car was reported stolen in Lincolnshire.

A suspect remains on the run following a police pursuit on I-75 Thursday, according to a report obtained by WVLT News. Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers attempted to stop a 2012 Jeep Cherokee on I-75 for a traffic violation on Aug. 18. However, the driver, who has not been identified, continued to travel north on the interstate, officials said. A Monroe County deputy and Sweetwater City official set up and deployed spike strips, as a result. The person ran over the strips but didn’t stop, leaving a trail of them on the interstate, the report shared. Approximately five to six vehicles were damaged after they hit the spikes, officials said.

Traditional spike strips weren’t quite enough to stop a domestic violence suspect fleeing Pierce County deputies on Tuesday. It was nature’s spike strip, Washington’s infamous blackberry bushes, that ultimately stopped the man in his tracks. High-speed pursuit of the suspect from Spanaway to Frederickson ended when the man crashed into a person’s backyard fence and took off on foot, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies said the man was arrested after he was snagged by the bushes.

Officers with 4th Platoon of the Victoria Police Department responded to Toyota of Victoria, 5902 N. Navarro Street, at 4:06 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, in reference to catalytic converters possibly being stolen from vehicles. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle leaving the parking lot. They then conducted an investigative stop when the vehicle sped off. Officials initiated a vehicle pursuit. During the pursuit, a reciprocating saw was thrown from the vehicle.

The incident began when the department was called out to medial call at Applewood Road near Seven Bar Ranch. A 36-year-old Minooka man is facing several charges in Will County. Ryan McLean was charged with the Unlawful Possession of meth between 15 and 100 grams, a class one felony and two counts of Aggravated DUI, both class four felonies. He was given a citation for DUI, driving while license revoked, speeding, improper passing of emergency vehicle, improper lane usage, not driving on right side of the road and disobeying traffic device. The Illinois State Police said they tried to pull over a vehicle operated by McLean for committing several traffic violations in Will County around 7 p.m. on Sunday.

ACT Policing officers have arrested three people and recovered two stolen vehicles as car thieves continue to be targeted. In the first incident, about 7.00am yesterday (Wednesday, 17 August 2022) a Ford Falcon that was left running in a garage for 90 seconds was stolen from a Theodore residence. A person who was aware the vehicle had been stolen later located the Falcon in Narrabundah and notified police. The driver of the vehicle was held at the location until police arrived.

Thames Valley Police said that they attempted to stop the car in Reading after noticing the vehicle was displaying cloned registration plates. A post on social media said that after the vehicle failed to stop, a technique was used to deflate the cars tyres used in high-speed pursuits, called ‘stop stick’.

Chief Bruce Burke applied for $8,000 from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association. The organization donated four sets of sticks — used to deflate tires of a vehicle that won’t stop during a law enforcement chase.
