Fargo Man Accused of Armed Carjacking in Grand Forks, Arrested After 75-Mile Pursuit – North Dakota

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo man accused of an armed carjacking in Grand Forks early Saturday leads multiple agencies on a 75 mile pursuit.

A Grand Forks County deputy tried to stop 20-year-old Ahmed Hassan near Thompson.

They say Hassan was able to avoid numerous spike strips on I-29 by driving around them.

He continued south hitting speeds of 120 miles per hour until he entered Cass County and deputies were able to spike his tires.

Highway Patrol and Fargo Police took over the pursuit and stopped Hassan on the interstate in north Fargo.

Police arrest pair after pursuit in Diggers Rest Australia

Mirage News  –

Police have arrested a man and a woman following a pursuit in Diggers Rest this afternoon.

It is understood the pair in a white Camry were traveling along Plumpton Road when they allegedly got into an altercation with the driver of a Volkswagen Golf, about 2.25pm.

The male passenger of the Camry allegedly threatened the Volkswagen driver with a firearm before they fled toward Taylors Road.

Officers quickly responded to the incident and initiated a pursuit.

The offending driver allegedly conducted a U-turn heading south on Taylors Road, narrowly missing one of the police vehicles.

Milford Man With 10 Warrants For Fleeing From Police Nabbed After Chase, Police Say – Connecticut

The incident took place in New Haven County in Milford on Thursday, Nov. 16 in the parking lot of the boat ramp area on Naugatuck Avenue.

The pursuit began when a Milford police officer noticed the vehicle with no registration plate and the owner Jeffrey Yu, age 28, of Milford.

Yu fled from officers and drove over deployed stop sticks. The vehicle became disabled near 534 Oronoque Road and Yu was seen running into the wooded area, police said.

High-speed chase ends with arrest and multiple stolen vehicles in Onondaga County New York

On Saturday, Nov. 18 around 3:30 a.m., Onondaga County Sheriff Deputies responded to a reported stolen Kia Forte from a Westbrook Hill Drive residence in the Town of Onondaga.Shortly after being dispatched to Westbrook Hill Drive, Onondaga Community College Police noticed multiple vehicles exiting an OCC parking lot at a high rate of speed near West Seneca Turnpike.A sheriff’s deputy witnessed three stolen vehicles including the original Westbrook Hill Drive Kia exiting rapidly, the deputy turned around activating emergency lights and sirens.

The drivers of all the vehicles failed to comply with the deputy and proceeded to drive east on W. Seneca Turnpike at a high rate of speed passing red traffic signals and driving recklessly.



Blotter for Nov. 18: police chase on interstate ended with stop sticks -North Carolina

SALISBURY — A Gastonia man was arrested after police say he led them on a chase down Interstate 85, off the interstate and then back on before stop sticks put an end to the chase on Wednesday.

Deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a rental car for speeding on I-85 when the driver allegedly failed to stop and began to speed up, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. At some point during the chase, deputies identified the car as being a rental car.

The driver then exited onto Old Concord Road where he made a loop along county roads. The driver returned then returned to the interstate. On I-85, police reportedly continued the chase before eventually deploying stop sticks near the Peeler Road exit, which ended the incident around 4:30 in the morning.

St. Louis County man sentenced in drug conspiracy, one of five charged – Mossuri

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis County man, one of five people linked to a criminal enterprise, was sentenced to federal prison Wednesday for his role in a drug conspiracy.

A judge has ordered Marvel Sherell, 23, to 11 years behind bars, plus four years of supervised release after completing his term.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says that Sherell was selling meth and fentanyl and used a confidential source to purchase drugs. Sherell admitted to selling methamphetamine and fentanyl to the DEA unknowingly.

Suspect leads police on 120 mph chase through southern Indiana; 2 arrestedIndiana –

The driver of an SUV initially stopped for police, but then took off on I-65. A manhunt ensued for a passenger.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two people were arrested in southern Indiana early Thursday after a police chase that reached speeds of 120 mph.

An Indiana State Police trooper was monitoring traffic on I-65 near the Henryville exit in northern Clark County about 2 a.m. when he clocked a Chevrolet Equinox traveling north at 95 mph. The driver, later identified as 31-year-old Frederick Joseph Lewis IV, of Illinois, pulled off to the right and a traffic stop was conducted.

The trooper also observed one male and one female passenger, and indicators of possible drug use, according to an ISP news release. A second trooper arrived at the scene.

PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

— Shawn D. Symons, 28, of Piper City, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order, obstructing justice/identification and threatening a public official during a traffic stop at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, on northbound Interstate 57 near milepost 263, just north of Paxton. The traffic stop was conducted after Paxton police were notified by the Ford County Sheriff’s Office that Symons — who was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for a violation of the no-contact order and taken to the county jail in Paxton the night prior — had been released from jail and picked up in a vehicle by the person with whom he was ordered to have no contact. During the traffic stop, Symons allegedly provided a false name to police and threatened to harm the arresting officer.

Driver crashed into fence trying to evade police Oregon

MEDFORD, Ore. – Law enforcement chased down a suspect by car and on foot Tuesday afternoon.

Police chased the suspect after he crashed a car into a residential fence in Medford. Police say the driver was going over 100 miles per hour.

Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies attempted a traffic stop around 1pm. The pursuit may have even caused a separate minor car accident on Table Rock Road. Officers soon had to take action to stop the vehicle.

“We were successful in using spike strips to try to stop that vehicle from deflating the tire. It was effective and he continued about another half mile or so to where he crashed here today,” said Sgt. John Richmond from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Stolen Santa Rosa Humvee Recovered After Four Months California


The search is over for a Humvee stolen from the National Guard armory in Santa Rosa. The California Highway Patrol chased it yesterday for almost 30 minutes, starting just outside Sebastopol to Highway 116, and then Stony Point Road. It ended in Penngrove after Petaluma Police used a spike strip, causing the tires to flatten. The driver is accused of shooting at an empty PG&E truck before the pursuit. The CHP believes he also stole the vehicle in July.

Orland 13- and 16-year-old caught after hitting Redding police vehicles with stolen truck California

Record Searchlight –

Two juveniles from Orland, ages 13 and 16, were caught early Wednesday morning after authorities said one of them intentionally rammed two Redding police vehicles as the pair tried to evade arrest in the stolen truck being driven by one of the juveniles.

One police officer suffered minor injuries, most caused by the vehicle’s airbag deploying, police said. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

One of the juveniles, who was the passenger in the truck, was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

The male driver was arrested on various charges including vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon against police officers and hit and run, according to a news release posted on Facebook by the Redding Police Department.

Teen ‘smuggler’ leads cops on wild 150 mph chase with illegal immigrants in car: video Texas

New York Post – 

Heart-pounding police dashcam footage captures Texas state troopers reaching nearly 150 mph while on a high-speed car chase in pursuit of a 15-year-old driver lugging five illegal immigrants.

The two-minute video, posted on X by the Texas Department of Public Safety this week, shows the fleeing muscle car flying through a US Border Patrol checkpoint with cops in hot pursuit on the night of Nov. 7.

At times the car speeds off and is nearly out of sight, but at others slows down so much that it appears the driver is about to cut off the trooper before taking off again.

The chase even goes through a construction zone.

1:38 a.m. Village police were informed of a reported motorcycle theft while taking a Whitehall man into custody for allegedly violating an order of protection on Oct. 28. Five days later, police discovered a motorcycle with Vermont plates parked on Main Street while investigating an apparent “burn-out” on the street. A computer check initially found no information on the plate or the vehicle identification number on the bike, but police subsequently received information identifying the owner – who was not the man who initially reported the motorcycle stolen. Officers obtained video footage of the incident and charged Robert W. Valley, 32, of Whitehall, with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Omaha robbery, pursuit suspect makes first court appearance Nebraska –

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested in connection with a northwest Omaha convenience store robbery that evolved into a high-speed pursuit Sunday made his first appearance in court Tuesday morning.

Georgi Crisafulli, 32, has been formally charged with robbery and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest. He’s accused of taking cash from a register at the Kwik Shop at 156th and Blondo before getting into a dark blue Nissan Rogue.

A police affidavit states a witness saw Crisafulli leave the Kwik Shop and noted the vehicle’s license plate number. A short time later, officers found the vehicle leaving a home near 155th and Jackson and attempted a traffic stop. Crisafulli sped off, and officers initiated a pursuit that lasted about 15 minutes.

Transient man steals dog car in petaluma leads to high speed chase on highway 101 suspect in sonoma jail California

On November 10, 2023, the Petaluma Police Department promptly responded to distressed call regarding a stolen vehicle with a dog in it, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Efforts to retrieve the lost vehicle and the pet included a county-wide lookout announcement.

Unsuccessful initial attempts weren’t to keep it down, an alert officer from the Santa Rosa Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle speeding northbound on Highway 101, sparking a high-speed chase.

Two Havelock men arrested on multiple charges after high-speed pursuit – North Carolina

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A DWI suspect is accused of leading state troopers on a chase in Amarillo.

Around 3:30 p.m., DPS tried to stop a car on Loop 335 at Saint Francis Avenue for speeding.

The driver refused to stop.

The chase ended near Loop 335 and SW. 9th Ave when police used spike strips to flatten the tires on the Toyota Camry.

Dylan Casarez, 28, of Amarillo was arrested for DWI and evading arrest.

Officials from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department assist in chase and bust of man wanted in several counties.

KNIGHTSTOWN — Officials from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department were instrumental in helping with a car chase and arrest late last week of a man wanted in multiple counties.

According to a press release, Indiana State Police Trooper Clayton Fox attempted to stop a Cadillac Escalade truck for an equipment violation around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday near the 114-mile marker of I-70. When the trooper initiated a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, and a pursuit ensued.

The pursuit started in Henry County and continued along I-70 into Hancock County.

Two arrested on drug charges after traffic stop, chase in Craven County– North Carolina

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) — A license checkpoint led to the arrest of two men on multiple charges after a chase that reached 100 mph from James City to Havelock.

On Monday, just after midnight, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Patrol Bureau conducted a license checking station in the area of US Hwy 70 and Brown Drive in James City. A red Honda Civic approached the license checking station. The vehicle was being operated by Deandre Tyrone Davis, 30, and Steven Lance Blackburn Jr, 27, both of Havelock.

Deputies observed the odor of marijuana from the vehicle, at which time they asked the driver to pull to the side of the road. The vehicle then fled from the scene at a high rate of speed. During the pursuit, Deputies observed several items being thrown from the passenger side window of the vehicle. Deputies were able to recover a gun that was thrown from the passenger side window.

Lexington man arrested after chase in Nelson County, police say – Kentucky


LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Lexington man was arrested after a high-speed chase in Nelson County, according to police.

Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said police tried to conduct a traffic stop around 11:22 p.m. Sunday on New Haven Road. Michael Hill Jr., 35, didn’t stop and merged onto Bluegrass Parkway.

Hill’s speed increased to 86 mph, and Kentucky State Police deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle. According to police, Hill refused to get out of the vehicle and started to resist arrest.

Suspect in custody after standoff on Newport Highway near Mead – Washington

FOX 28 Spokane-

MEAD, Wash. – One person is in custody following a standoff on Newport Highway near Mead Monday afternoon.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to an altercation in the area of US-2 and Deer Park-Milan Road just before noon on Nov. 13. SCSO said the suspect threatened to shoot the victim, who was ‘fearing for their life.’ The suspect then got in their car and drove towards the victim, almost hitting them.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the suspect, who refused to follow commands and drove off.

SCSO stopped the suspect a second time around 12:30 p.m., near US-2 and East Day Mt Spokane Road. Deputies used spike strips to keep the suspect from taking off again as they were refusing to comply with verbal commands. Crisis negotiators were called to the scene but were also unsuccessful.

‘Chemical agents’ were then used in another attempt to get the suspect out of the vehicle, but he still refused to exit. SCSO did not elaborate on what these chemicals are.

NJ man charged in chase that spanned Halifax, Nash counties, sheriff’s office says– North Carolina

HALIFAX, N.C. (WNCN) — A man has been charged following a chase Friday morning that started in Halifax County and ended in a wreck off of Interstate 95 in Nash County.

On that morning, Halifax County Sheriff’s Sgt. Sherrod responded to the area of I-95 southbound near the 170 mile marker due to a call from a concerned citizen about a white minivan traveling at a high rate of speed.

Sherrod noticed a white Honda Odyssey driven by 38-year-old Scott Kercher, of New Jersey, coming up behind him. The van changed lanes and passed Sherrod at more than 100 mph, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sherrod attempted to stop Kercher at which time Kerchers sped up and continued southbound with speeds reaching 120 mph, the sheriff’s office said.

Kercher continued south on I-95 passing into Nash County. When he reached the U.S. 64 interchange, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office had spike strips set up and waiting.

Omaha Police arrest 32-year-old man after robbery leads to chase – Nebraska

The Omaha Police Department identified the man arrested after a robbery call led to a chase in Omaha Sunday. The Omaha Police Department says the robbery happened shortly after 11:15 a.m. at the Kwik Shop near 155th and Blondo Streets. Investigators say the suspect, Georgi Crisafulli, 32, used a gun and got away with cash. Omaha Police say officers eventually found Crisafulli’s vehicle, a dark blue Nissan Rogue, and tried to pull it over. It says he refused to stop leading to a chase. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a newly hired lateral deputy from Columbus Police was able to use stop sticks on the vehicle near 144th and Blondo. The chase ended near 150th and Fort Streets. Omaha police say charges are pending. The Nebraska State Patrol also assisted DCSO and OPD.

An armed robbery suspect was taken into custody following a police pursuit on Interstate 94 through Lake County that ended near Six Flags in Gurnee Saturday evening.

The suspect was wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred around 5:30 p.m. Saturday at a CVS store near 87th Street and Cicero Avenue in Chicago, according to police radio traffic.

The male suspect fired a single shot during the armed robbery, officers at the scene reported.

Two arrested in Baldwin County after high speed car chase, drugs thrown out of vehicle – Georgia


BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — Two were arrested in Baldwin County Saturday night after a high speed car chase, with both the driver and passenger now facing felony charges.

A Washington County Deputy reportedly clocked a vehicle traveling at 63 mph in a 45 mph construction zone, while patrolling the area of Highway 540 and Lamars Creek Road.

When the deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away, reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

After contacting the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County 911 was able to set up spike strips, which were successfully able to disable the vehicle in Baldwin County.

DUI Driver Rams Snoqualmie Police Vehicle, Flees From Officers – Washington

At about 10:09 AM, Snoqualmie Police officers responded to SE 96th St at 351st Ave SE for a Welfare Check. Officers were told the driver of a Toyota SUV with a broken-out back window was slumped over and unresponsive. Officers arrived and located the vehicle in the middle of the road.

The first officer on the scene deployed a Terminator stop stick and took evidentiary photos of the driver passed out behind the wheel and with visible drug paraphernalia. The driver awoke and reversed into a marked patrol vehicle, nearly running over a patrol sergeant. The suspect driver then fled from officers. With reasonable suspicion of DUI, a pursuit ensued within state law and department policy.

Pursuit suspect arrested after high-speed chase in Ventura County – California

A pursuit suspect was arrested after a high-speed chase in Ventura County on Friday night. It’s unclear what the man was initially wanted for as California Highway Patrol units trailed closely behind the vehicle. The chase started on the southbound 5 Freeway, down the Grapevine and eventually ended on the westbound 126 Freeway after authorities successfully deployed a spike strip to disable the vehicle’s front tire. Akron, Indiana, man who was wanted in multiple counties arrested by Indiana State Police – Indiana

KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. — An Akron, Indiana, man who was wanted in multiple counties has been arrested by state police.

According to a press release, 51-year-old Robert Workman led police on a chase before he was ultimately arrested. Troopers initially identified a Cadillac Escalade Workman was driving on Interstate 70 near mile marker 114.

ISP indicated that its troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Workman sped away. The chase began in Henry County and ultimately ended Hancock County.

ISP reported that its deputies deployed stop sticks, flattening both of Workman’s passenger side tires. Despite his tires’ condition, Workman continued to drive with flats.

Police indicated that both of the Escalade’s passenger side tires eventually flew off, but Workman continued to drive the vehicle on its rims. Near mile marker 87, the Escalade lost its axles and became immobilized.

2 Arrested On Multiple Charges After High-Speed Chase Early Friday Morning– Tennessee

Breaking News – –

Two people were arrested early Friday morning after a high-speed chase.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highway 27 South. The vehicle was a red 2006 Honda Accord.

As the deputy exited his patrol vehicle and approached the stopped vehicle, the driver, later identified as Cody Ratcliff, began to drive south at a high rate of speed. The deputy returned to his vehicle and a pursuit began.

Ratcliff exited Highway 27 South via the Harrison Lane exit where he drove east to the Middle Valley (Hixson) area. Several times deputies lost sight of the vehicle in this area, but it was eventually located again on Highway 27 South. Not only was he driving the vehicle recklessly with speeds reaching over 100 miles per hour, but he continually turned off his vehicle’s lights in an attempt to make it difficult for deputies to see him posing great risk to motorists and law enforcement.

A Red Bank Police Department officer was able to successfully use spike strips to stop the vehicle on Highway 27 near the Signal Mountain Road exit. Once the vehicle was spike stripped, Ratcliff attempted to exit Highway 27 via the Manufacturer’s Road exit, but he crashed on the off-ramp.

High-speed chase ends in most wanted suspect’s arrest – Oklahoma

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Sand Springs police arrested 28-year-old Keith Clayton this morning after a high-speed chase.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office named Clayton as a most wanted suspect in September for charges of knowingly concealing stolen property, attempted second-degree burglary, and drug charges.

At around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, a Sand Springs officer ran the tag of a vehicle, which came back reported stolen.
After attempting a traffic stop on Clayton, he sped off, police said. During the chase, speeds reached 100 miles per hour.

Deputies attempted to stop Clayton using spike strips, flattening his tires.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol performed a pit maneuver, and after a short foot chase, officers arrested Clayton on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle and felony eluding.

Man Arrested after Multi-Agency Police Pursuit – Washington

A man accused of stalking his former partner was recently arrested after a pursuit involving authorities from multiple counties.

According to a press release by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported burglary on the 2200 block of Swaisy Drive in Linda in the early hours of November 2. The victim reported to deputies that her ex-boyfriend had broken the back door’s glass to gain entry but had left the scene before their arrival.

The victim identified the suspect as 52-year-old Tawn Saephan of Sacramento. Soon after police arrived, Saephan reportedly returned to the residence in a silver Toyota Camry but fled when he noticed law enforcement at the scene. Officers pursued Saephan from the scene.

At the same time, other deputies deployed a spike strip at Erle Road and Lindhurst Avenue, which damaged the Saephan’s vehicle but failed to stop him. Saephan continued southbound on Highway 70 at speeds reaching 90 mph. The pursuit ran for over 45 miles and approximately 50 minutes, involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including Sutter and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Sutter County Sheriff’s deputies placed a second spike strip at SR-99 and Howsley Road, nearly deflating the suspect’s tires down to the rims.
