A Winston-Salem man is in custody after leading police on a vehicle chase from Downtown Mocksville to Clemmons – that included a brief wreck that partly dismantled the suspect’s car before he sped off again.
Steven Cody, 45, was driving a vehicle at Main and Depot streets in downtown Mocksville at 7:26 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 when a Davie Sheriff’s deputy attempted a stop for a traffic violation, reported Chief Deputy Brian Jacobs.
“As the deputy activated their blue lights and siren, the vehicle sped up and refused to stop,” according to a sheriff’s news release.

WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Five people were under arrest Saturday following two separate pursuits in Southern California, one of which ended with police recovering a machete and a wig from a stolen vehicle.
Police chased a small blue sedan that was reported stolen Friday night after the driver refused to stop in the Westlake area.
AIR7 HD was over the scene as officers deployed a spike strip and performed two PIT maneuvers before the driver eventually came to a stop.

High speed pursuit through the streets of Bloomington, Indiana early Saturday – Indiana

Police pursued a white van after the driver fled from a traffic stop early Saturday morning around 3:26 a.m. Bloomington Police could be heard in police radio dispatches pursuing the vehicle. Traffic conditions were light, according to police.
The pursuit began when an officer attempted to stop the vehicle for reckless driving, however the driver failed to yield, and the pursuit began. The driver was clocked at speeds up to 100 miles per hour, and was traveling at 85 mph on some Bloomington streets. Some of the streets in the pursuit were West 17th Street, West 11th Street, the Indiana 45/46 bypass, Maple Street, College Avenue, and Arlington Road.

Teen Charged After Stop Sticks Used By Police During Racing Incident In Cromwell, Middletown – Connecticut

A teenager is facing a host of charges after Connecticut State Police deployed stop sticks during a racing incident overnight.
Troopers were investigating a large group of cars that had been observed operating at a high rate of speed and racing in Middlesex County at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 on Route 9 in the towns of Cromwell and Middletown.
Troopers followed the group of vehicles to the DOT Commuter Lot located off of Industrial Park Rd in Cromwell, where a large group of cars were observed engaging in reckless and dangerous activities, according to state police.

The arrest report actually called him “an unwanted person in the church parking lot.” Make that, the first arrest report. His mugshot shows how he looked after medical attention.
The long day — Saturday, Nov. 19 — started at about 7:30 a.m. when somebody in Wellington called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to a church on State Road 7, south of Stribling Way.

Wheeling Police Make Arrest Following Vehicle Chase – West Virginia

After responding to an alleged battery incident, Wheeling Police arrested a man Wednesday night after a vehicular pursuit that lasted from Chapline Street to the Fulton area.
Husam Alkahtani, 31, was arrested on several counts, including battery, destruction of property, fleeing while driving under the influence, defrauding an innkeeper and leaving the scene of an accident.
At a little after 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to a WPD release, officers were dispatched to Carins Pub on Chapline Street for a report of a disorder. After arriving on the scene, officers observed a vehicle pulling off of the street near the bar and allegedly driving in an erratic manner.

CHICO, Calif. – Police say they arrested a woman for her fourth DUI arrest in the last three months.
The Chico Police Department said at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, employees at Sierra Nevada reported a woman had just left and was possibly intoxicated.
Police say they pulled 63-year-old Gail Hemmingsen over on Forest Avenue near East 20th Street.

OCEAN CITY — Resort police officers are investigating an armed carjacking downtown that led to a multiple-county pursuit and ended with a fiery crash in Dorchester County.
Early last Friday morning, a concerned citizen informed Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) officers of a possible vehicle break-in in the area of Wicomico Street. While officers were on their way to investigate the report, they were dispatched to the area of Dorchester Street for a reported armed carjacking with a handgun, according to police reports.

Victoria Diane Nunez was initially spotted by Taylorsville police while in the area of 1500 West and 5400 South, Taylorsville, Sgt. Jeff Smith, Taylorsville Police Department, told Gephardt Daily.

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies took a Destin man with a felony warrant into custody after a pursuit Thursday morning.
52-year-old Adrian Rico Garcia is charged with felony resisting an officer with violence, felony fleeing and eluding, and felony violation of probation.
Deputies were responding to a prowler call in the area of Emerald Lakes Subdivision when they spotted Garcia in a silver Honda around 1:40 a.m.

WAUKESHA, WI — A police chase that began in Waukesha near Main Street and N. East Avenue early Monday morning tracked east at speeds of around 80 mph and ended after stop sticks and a pit maneuver, according to department logs.
An officer began the chase around 1:30 a.m. for speed and running a stop sign, according to police logs. Much of the pursuit took place on Moreland and then Bluemound roads. The chase eventually ended near Rosedale Road off Bluemound with the occupants bailing and hours of a search with drones and dogs, according to police logs.

A vehicle was allegedly spotted speeding on Plenty Road in South Morang about 12.20am on Thursday, 24 November.
With assistance from the Air Wing, police followed the vehicle through multiple suburbs and deployed stop sticks in Mernda.
A pursuit was initiated when the car took off at speed towards Point Cook.

2 teenagers, 2 juveniles charged after leading high speed chase in Frederick County – Maryland
FREDERICK COUNTY, M.d. (FOX 5 DC) – Two teenagers and two juveniles have been charged after leading Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen car.
Deputies attempted to locate a reported stolen car that pinged near the area of Lohr Road and Route 15 near Thurmont on Tuesday around 12:28 a.m.

ALPENA — Judge Ed Black in Alpena’s 26th Circuit Court on Monday gave Leonard Gray, 18, a six-month sentence for leading police on a high-speed chase in August.
The downstate man sped, pursued by police, through Alpena and Montmorency counties and into Otsego County, where police finally stopped him with the help of spike strips.

(KNSI) — A 33-year-old Bloomington man accused of leading police on a miles-long chase at speeds of 100 miles an hour has been charged.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Stearns County, just before 1:00 Friday morning, a Waite Park police officer stopped a driver in a pickup truck near the intersection of 10th Avenue South and Parkway Drive for weaving over the center line. That driver, identified in court papers as Santos Ezequiel Gonzales, had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and appeared to be under the influence. The license plate on the truck was also not on file, but the VIN was registered to Gonzales, who had a warrant out for his arrest.

On Nov. 9, 2022, Portland police officers conducted a mission to find shoplifters at Portland’s Mall 205. One suspect in a stolen car drove away from officers. They radioed ahead for another officer to throw spike strips to stop her. The driver was a 24-year-old woman who know faces felony charges. Officers found goods stolen from Target and fentanyl inside the truck. Shoplifting is on the rise in Portland and becoming more brazen. Police, prosecutors, retailers, private security and neighbors complain shoplifting is a citywide epidemic— largely fueled by drug addiction.

A driver was arrested this morning in Preston following a police chase that saw the vehicle drive on the wrong side of the A583. The driver has now been arrested, and thankfully the incident left no casualties.
The driver’s Audi initially failed to stop for Lancashire Police in Liverpool, before repeating this action 35 miles away in Preston in an attempt to evade the authorities. After stinging the driver, the vehicle was driven on the wrong side of the A583 as the suspect desperately continued to elude police.

In Vallejo, a large crowd gathered Saturday night at Lemon street and Sonoma Boulevard and police called in backup, including the California Highway Patrol, the Solano County Sheriff and Benicia police, to help break up the crowd and move them onto Interstate 80. Authorities said a fire hydrant was knocked over.

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – An Ohio man is in custody Tuesday after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase through multiple counties in Illinois.
Just after noon, police pursued a white Mazda MX5 southbound on IL. Rt. 26 from Freeport to Polo, Ill., where stop sticks were deployed in an effort to stop the vehicle.
There, the driver, Brian Taylor, 49, of Massillon, OH, was taken into custody by the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.

Police arrest Gogebic County domestic disturbance suspect after car chase – Michigan

GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) – One man is in jail after firing a shot toward a nearby home and trying to flee police and in Gogebic County.
Just before 11 a.m. Monday, Michigan State Police troopers from the Wakefield Post and deputies from the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance and malicious destruction of property complaint in Marenisco. The complaint involved a 31-year-old male suspect.
On the way to the scene, responding officers and troopers received additional information that the suspect was firing a gun at or near the residence.

73-year-old man pistol-whipped, carjacked in downtown Ocean City – Missouri

OCEAN CITY, Md. — Five teens – including a 14-year-old from Baltimore County and a 12-year-old from Baltimore City – are accused in a crime spree that included the pistol-whipping and carjacking of a 73-year-old man in downtown Ocean City early Friday morning.
The teens are also suspected in stealing another vehicle, and in multiple car break-ins in Ocean City and Baltimore, where they stole a handgun and other items, said Ocean City police in a press release.
