The Met Police say a 14-year-old boy is in police custody this morning (October 10) after leading officers on a high-speed chase through London’s streets in the early hours. Haringey Police said that the teenager was arrested after leading police on a high-speed pursuit that only ended when police drivers engaged tactical pursuit and containment techniques to bring it to a safe conclusion.

Police arrested a Tawas City man Friday after a high-speed chase through part of Livingston County.
About 10 a.m. Friday, 911 operators alerted police to a driver heading south on M-36 toward Pinckney, Pinckney Police Chief Jeffrey Garrison said in a release. Callers to 911 indicated a vehicle was driving toward oncoming traffic and wasn’t staying in its own lane, he added.

WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. – One of two Milwaukee men charged in connection to a pair of 2021 Whitefish Bay police chases has been sentenced to 18 months of probation. Isaiah Wilson-Deberry, 18, pleaded guilty to fleeing/eluding police and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent on Oct. 5 and was sentenced the same day. A charge of resisting an officer was dismissed as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

A homeless man who stole a pickup truck in Bryson City and led officers on a two-county, high-speed chase pleaded guilty to felony larceny, felony flee to elude, six counts of injury to personal property, driving while impaired and habitual felon this week in Swain County Superior Court, District Attorney Ashley Hornsby Welch said.
On the afternoon of June 23, 2020, James Caviness, 52, stole an unoccupied pickup truck that was idling in front of a service station. He sped west out of Bryson City onto U.S. 19, then exited U.S. 19 for U.S. 74.

A man was arrested following a police chase involving multiple agencies on Friday that ended in Pinckney.
The Pinckney Police Department arrested a 32-year-old male from Tawas City after a vehicle pursuit.
At approximately 10am, Livingston County Law Enforcement was advised of a dangerous driver, possibly in the Fowlerville area. There were several 911 calls to Central Dispatch regarding the subject. Eventually, the subject traveled south and ended up heading west on M-36 near Busch’s Supermarket in Pinckney.

A drug suspect nearly ran over a police officer while fleeing a traffic stop at The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake.
The officer spotted a bronze Toyota pickup in the wee hours Tuesday morning and discovered that its license plate had been reported in stolen in Sumter County, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Investigators say a woman who was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 41 in Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties was apparently suffering from some mental issues. Shortly after 11pm Monday the Winnebago County Dispatch Center notified the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office that the woman had told authorities she was being held against her will.

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man from West Palm Beach is behind bars after deputies say a quick K9 caught up to him in the water.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said 23-year old David Moore driving recklessly when a deputy attempted to pull him over. Moore kept driving but had to find other means of escape after deputies deployed stop sticks, disabling the car. Moore left the car and headed on foot, hiding neck deep into a canal.

Just before 6:30 PM on October 1, 2022, El Centro’s Remote Video Surveillance System Operations spotted a suspected bogus Border Patrol Chevy Tahoe speeding east on Highway 98 and north of Exit 6 in Calexico, California.
Of course, agents attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver continued east. The bogus vehicle was finally stopped after an agent deployed spike strips. When agents converged on the cloned SUV, the 18-year-old suspect made off on foot but was stopped almost immediately.

According to the Lacey Police Department, earlier this week officers responded to a report of a theft at a store.
When officers arrived, the suspects jumped into a car and fled the scene, striking a parked car, which hit a patrol car.
Officers deployed spike strips, disabling the car, which was later found abandoned in a nearby parking lot.

A Homosassa man was taken into custody for allegedly driving a stolen pickup truck into a Citrus County Sheriff’s Office patrol car before he led deputies on a vehicle chase.
Deputies apprehended 21-year-old Damien Michael Shade early Sept. 29 at the intersection of West Noble Street and South Lecanto Highway in Lecanto, where the stolen Dodge Dakota Shade’s accused of driving struck a tree after traveling over sheriff’s office stop sticks.

Kane sheriff describes efforts at controlling problem drivers – New York
ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP – After the latest Kane County traffic fatality Saturday in which a 4-year-old was killed, Sheriff Ron Hain called on the public to help police keep the roads safe. Hain said police continue to issue traffic citations, but that hasn’t stopped serious and fatal crashes from occurring. He attributed an increase in speed and serious crashes to a “post-COVID psycho social issue.”

A Navasota man who took officers on a chase reaching speeds of 130 miles per hour is in jail facing a felony evading charge.
Navasota police say they tried stopping a speeding vehicle at the Washington and La Salle intersection Monday around midnight, when it took off south, eventually reaching Highway 6.
The chase went into Hempstead, where police there deployed a spike strip and stopped the car.

LAKE COUNTY, Ind.–A man from Illinois is accused of kidnapping a woman in Lake County earlier this week.
On Tuesday, December 7, the Lowell Regional Dispatch Center got a 911 call about a man holding a woman against her will in a car.
State police say officers were able to find the car in seven minutes. They tried to stop the driver, but he drove off “at a high rate of speed,” which caused a brief chase.

Oct. 4—PERU — A Macy man who police say shot at a deputy during a high-speed chase in Miami County in July 2021 has now been sentenced to 37 years in the Indiana Department of Correction.
According to court records, Jason Fites, 46, was initially facing 15 felony charges, including attempted murder, for his role in the case. In August, Fites pleaded guilty to the Level 1 count of attempted murder, as well as possession of a narcotic drug and possession of methamphetamine, both Level 3 felonies; three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, all Level 4 felonies; and resisting law enforcement, a Level 6 felony, per court documents.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy on Sunday noticed a vehicle allegedly traveling 140 miles an hour on Interstate 35 at the Holt exit.
The deputy attempted to get the northbound vehicle to stop but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit began. The pursuit extended to Cameron where the suspect got back on I-35 and headed south. The vehicle finally stopped due to striking spike strips deployed by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 11 PM Monday, October 3, 2022, the City of Oshkosh Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol chased a vehicle that was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 41.
Shortly before 11, the Winnebago County Communications Center started receiving calls of the wrong way driver north of the city of Oshkosh.
Law enforcement located the vehicle near Hwy 76 and started the pursuit.

When police tried to make contact with the man, who was described as being in his 30s, he drove off in his vehicle, a gray Ford Escape.

A Kent man was arraigned Monday morning in a fatal shooting of a motorcyclist in Cleveland last week.
Rendell Russell Buckhalter, 50, of Spruce Court in Kent, was charged Saturday with first-degree felony aggravated murder and held in jail over the weekend. He was ordered held on a $1 million bond Monday.
While the matter remains under investigation, Cleveland police have charged Buckhalter in the death of Giacumo Desoto, a 33-year-old Youngstown man who recently lived in Painesville and Brooklyn, Ohio, according to his social media account.

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are seeking a fugitive following a pursuit Saturday evening.
A DCSO report said just after 6:40 p.m. a deputy observed a pickup pass through the intersection of Cedar Street and Third Street in Yoncalla several times, while committing multiple traffic violations. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and got out of his vehicle to contact the driver. However, the pickup quickly took off and the pursuit ensued.

Chase through Minnesota, North Dakota leads to arrest in South Fargo – North Dakota
A man is facing charges after a pursuit that began in Minnesota ended in South Fargo.
Authorities say they were trying to stop a pickup that was towing a van on a trailer Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. in Minnesota. Stop sticks were eventually used to flatten the pickup’s tires in Fargo and the vehicle crashed into a hedge near the Countryside Mobile Home Park at 25th Street and Eighth Avenue. There were no injuries.

Two teens were arrested after a police chase Monday in Southaven.
According to the Southaven Police Department, officers followed a Nissan Maxima that refused to pull over for officers two days before.
Officers followed the car to a BP gas station on Highway 51 and Custer Drive and waited for help to arrive before initiating a traffic stop on the two suspects. That’s when the two teens, 17 and 18, drove away.
