Chase Across Multiple Counties Ends In Hickory With Arrests Of Teens – WHKY – North Carolina

Two teenagers were taken into custody in Hickory following a multi-county chase last week.
The two 15-year-old males from the Eckerd Connects Residential Academy in the Wilkes County community of Boomer were taken into custody following a vehicle chase through four counties. The suspects were arrested on Monday, September 26. The juveniles were in a stolen vehicle belonging to a staff member at the facility when the chase ended on 29th Avenue Drive in Hickory. Spike Strips deployed by law enforcement on Interstate 40 flattened at least some of the car’s tires.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A man is in custody after trying to burglarize a home on Sunday in Alachua County and then leading deputies on a chase.
According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Laviniu Duliga, 55, was trying to break into a home near Southeast Wacahoota Road in Micanopy. After the residents called 911, he took off in his silver Ford SUV.

Minnesota State Patrol says Trevor Reiter, 22, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 10 in Benton County near Rice around 10:45 p.m.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids man was arrested and charged with a hate crime after Hiawatha police said he fired gunshots at someone on Friday morning.
In a press release, Hiawatha police said they responded to a report of gunshots in the 1300 block of Hawkeye Drive in Hiawatha just after 5 a.m.

LAUDERDALE, Miss. (WTOK) – Two men have been arrested after leading deputies on a chase through the county just after midnight last night.
Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun said Randy Wallace, 47, and Jason Naylor, 46, refused to stop for a traffic violation near Highland Park around 12:40 a.m. They led officers from the county, city and MHP on a chase through Meridian and Marion at moderate speeds. The chase lasted about 30 minutes before deputies set out spike strips and made the arrests.

Two people from North Judson were arrested Monday, September 26 following a pursuit that began in Starke County.
Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith says a vehicle had been reported stolen from a home south of Knox. A Knox City Police Department officer spotted the suspected stolen vehicle. The officer was reportedly able to confirm it was the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver allegedly refused to stop for police and continued into La Porte County. La Porte County Sheriff’s Department deputies were able to deploy stop sticks which aided in slowing the vehicle, according to the report.

One man is in custody, but a second suspect remains at large in a larceny and high-speed chase incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Monroe County.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release issued by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. It began when Monroe County Central Dispatch received information that occupants of a white Ford pickup had stolen a skid steer and trailer, and the witness was currently following them.

A Concord man is facing several charges after allegedly leading state police on a chase.Troopers said the pursuit of Tyler Hoyt began in Belmont on Monday night on Route 106 and ended in Concord after spike strips were deployed.Officials said they are also investigating what they called a false bomb threat that was reported during the officers’ chase. Investigators said they believe the call may have been an attempt to draw attention away from Hoyt’s car.

According to a New Hampshire State Police news release, a false report of a bomb threat was made to the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office during the pursuit in an apparent attempt to ward off pursuers.

At around 3:50, Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota State Patrol received a driving complaint on westbound I-94 involving a silver Toyota Avalon driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The caller also indicated that it appeared the occupants were smoking marijuana.
The State Patrol advised officers that the vehicle was listed as a stolen car and was involved in a pursuit earlier in the western part of the Minneapolis area.

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested multiple drivers this weekend after pursuits on opposite ends of the state.
Saturday evening, NSP received a report of a Dodge Challenger traveling well over 100 miles per hour in a reckless manner on Interstate 80 in Dawson County. A trooper was able to locate the Challenger in Lincoln County and clocked the vehicle at 132 miles per hour.

A 34-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested for charges that included possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license after leading police on an early Saturday morning chase that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour, according to a CPD spokesman.
Capt. David Janes says the incident started when police spotted a white GMC pickup driven by 34-year-old Nathan Morgan doing a ‘burnout” and driving recklessly in the area of Converse and 11th Street around 1:20 am this morning [Sept. 24].

PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office along with Troopers from the Ohio Highway Patrol were involved in a high-speed chase this afternoon.
According to initial reports, the driver fled from deputies along route 23 north of Circleville. Speeds during the chase, dispatchers said, reached nearly 120 mph.

Local police announced Monday, Sept. 26 they are still searching for the suspect in an abduction of a Chiloquin woman last week.
A press release from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) stated that Eric Patrick Koon, 19, is still missing after the abduction of Molly May Swedenskey on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
