Wrong-way driver arrested after intentionally ramming police car, crashing on NW Side – Texas
SAN ANTONIO – A woman is behind bars after police say she was driving the wrong way on two major highways.
The incident started around 10 p.m. Tuesday when Transguide cameras spotted the car heading the wrong way on the North Side near Interstate 10.
Police said they were able to track down the car and the driver. At some point, the driver, according to police, internationally rammed a car and then a San Antonio Police cruiser. She continued to head the wrong way down Loop 410 South from I-10 before finally wrecking out after hitting a spike strip that patrol officers set up.

A Massachusetts man was arrested after leading New Hampshire State Police on a pursuit early Saturday morning. New Hampshire State Police said Mark Descoteaux, 33, of Pepperell, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged on a number of charges. Around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, state police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a home in Marlborough, where it was reported a person was intoxicated and damaged property before leaving the home and before troopers arrived, state police said. Troopers determined that the person had damaged property more than $1,500 and a be on the lookout was issued. Around 2:30 a.m., a trooper was on Route 101 in Peterborough and found the vehicle from the Marlborough incident.

Omaha police arrest 5 following lengthy pursuit through several counties -Nebraska
–Five people were taken into custody early Monday in Southeast Nebraska after a vehicle pursuit that began in Omaha following an alleged robbery and a report of shots fired.
The incident began about 3:20 a.m. when Omaha police attempted to stop a stolen 2016 Ram 1500 pickup truck that was eastbound on Q Street near 25th Street, a police spokesman said. The pickup was suspected to have been involved in a felony assault and an armed robbery in west Omaha.
“During the course of the pursuit several flashes from the driver’s side of the vehicle were shined at officers possibly from a weapon, or a mounted light,” the police spokesman said.
The pickup fled into Iowa’s Pottawattamie County, and Omaha police ended the pursuit. The vehicle then returned to the Nebraska side of the Missouri River and led police on a chase through Sarpy, Cass and Otoe counties.

Pursuit ends with an arrest and recovery of a stolen vehicle– Indiana
BLOOMFIELD – A I-69 northbound pursuit, Tuesday, at approximately 10:15 a.m., resulted in the arrest of an Evansville man on a variety of charges.
Master Trooper John Yung was stopped on the right shoulder of I-69, north of the 89-mile marker, with his rear red/blue emergency lights activated when a blue 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Trey B. Bedwell, 35, of Evansville, failed to slow down and move over for a stationary emergency vehicle.
While using a VASCAR speed-timing device to track the Cobalt’s speed for more than a mile, Yung determined Bedwell’s vehicle speed exceeded 99 miles per hour.

Coos Bay woman gets 20 months for damaging fire station, ramming deputy’s patrol vehicle – Oregon
5400 block 212th Street Southwest: An apartment manager called police to report she was cleaning out the apartment of an evicted tenant and discovered some suspicious paperwork. It included some possible stolen bank checks, blank business checks and several W-9 tax forms with photocopies of random individuals’ driver’s licenses. The paperwork was entered into evidence as found property.

Polk County pursuit ends in McMinnville – Oregon

A pursuit that began in Polk County ended in McMinnville early on the morning of Monday, Sept. 11.
Polk County Lt. Dustin Newman, the agency’s spokesperson, was unavailable to provide any details.
“It ended between Papé Machinery (9889 Highway 99W) and the south city limits of McMinnville,” McMinnville Police Capt. Tim Symons said.
McMinnville Police assisted with a K-9 track in addition to the deployment of spike strips near Trestle View Lane, south of McMinnville. The suspect fled on foot, and remains at large.

FINDLAY, Ohio (WTVG) – A Findlay woman was arrested after Findlay Police say she allegedly swung a shovel at people and led police on a chase on Tuesday.
On Sept. 12 at 4:33 p.m., Findlay Police officers responded to the 10000 block of TR 89 for a harassment complaint that stated a woman was allegedly swinging a shovel at multiple people in the area.
When officers arrived, the female, who police later identified as Jessica Onan, of Findlay, drove off heading westbound on TR 89. According to FPD, officers chased Onan southbound on CR 140, eastbound on Westfield Drive, southbound on Stanford Parkway, eastbound on W. Main Cross Street, northbound on I-75, eastbound on CR 99, and southbound on N. Main Street.

A balaclava-clad man in a Transit van attempted to ram a police car and drove off at 60mph after being asked to pull over.
The driver sped through red lights and residential areas with officers in pursuit after an attempted routine traffic stop in the Thurnscoe area of Barnsley just after midnight on Tuesday.
Police say after six minutes they were forced to use a ‘stop stick’ which burst three tires and brought the vehicle to a standstill. But the fugitive fled on foot. He was “quickly arrested” but a passenger got away.
Now the driver is facing multiple charges including failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving over the prescribed limit of drugs and going equipped.

Davenport’s Police Officer and Firefighter of the Year were honored by the American Legion.
The Police Officer of the Year is Cpl. Austin Ryckeghem. He was recognized for providing training on new technology and work to help the city acquire more spike strips used to stop chases.
Davenport’s Firefighter of the Year is District Chief Craig Black, who was unable to go to the event.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A Springfield man has been charged after leading law enforcement on a pursuit from Seymour to Springfield.
According to court documents, 55-year-old Michael Phillips is charged with resisting arrest, two counts of first-degree assault, and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
According to a probable cause statement from the Seymour Police Department, around 6:30 a.m., officers got a call that a Ford SUV, driven by Phillips, traveling on U.S. Highway 60 had hit several cars.
An officer pulled into a restaurant parking lot nearby and saw the SUV speeding toward traffic that was stopped at a red light. Phillips then swerved onto the shoulder of the highway. The officer got behind the truck and clocked him going 100 mph.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship says the suspect in the manhunt has been identified, and they are obtaining warrants for his arrest. The Sheriff did not immediately release his identity.

Putnam sheriff: Arrest made in March murder of man found dead in burned mobile home – Florida

Putnam County Sheriff “Gator” DeLoach on Monday announced an arrest in the murder of 69-year-old Louis Stackhouse, who was found dead in his burned mobile home in March.
DeLoach said that 23-year-old Matthew Daniel Temael, who has been in the Putnam County Jail since April, was notified at 10 a.m. by detectives that he was being charged with first-degree murder in Stackhouse’s death.
On March 5, deputies and fire/rescue personnel responded to a fire at Stackhouse’s mobile home on Cottonwood Drive in Hawthorne.
Stackhouse’s body was found in the master bathroom of the home.
The Medical Examiner later determined that Stackhouse’s manner of death was homicide. He had been stabbed several times prior to the fire, DeLoach said.

WRIGHT COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – Multiple law enforcement chased a white truck through several counties Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, around 1 p.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper began pursuing a person in a white truck on Highway 60 in Webster County.
The suspect drove up behind the trooper going around 90 mph, then stopped and flagged down the trooper, saying they were in need of help. As the trooper approached the truck, the truck sped off.
The chase went through several counties and eventually ended in Wright County. Authorities say the person was heading east in the westbound lanes of Highway 60.

Waukesha police chase Milwaukee, men sentenced to probation – Wisconsin
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Two men have been sentenced to probation after an April Waukesha police chase into Milwaukee.
Ravel Wright, 24, pleaded guilty to first-degree recklessly endangering safety and fleeing police. As part of a plea deal, two drug-related charges were dismissed.
Charles Wright, 19, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver THC. A second drug-related charge was dismissed as part of a plea deal.
The police chase wove through neighborhoods, and authorities said Ravel Wright was driving at least 60 mph through a Woodman’s parking lot before hitting I-94.
Once on I-94 eastbound, police said the Wrights kept going. Other nearby law enforcement agencies helped by throwing spike strips onto the road – shredding the fleeing car’s tires.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Department arrested a male subject after a vehicle pursuit on September 6.
According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Department, deputies observed equipment violations and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield to emergency lights and siren and a pursuit began. The pursuit traveled down County Road 345, through Franklin, down County Road 342 and northbound on Highway 87. As deputies pursued the vehicle Northbound on Highway 87, Glasgow Police Department was able to get positioned at the intersection of Highway 87 and State Route K and set up spike strips which were successfully deployed.

Rochester Man Charged in Schuyler County Chase – New York

A Rochester man is being held without bail, after a pursuit through Schuyler County yesterday.
Deputies say 41-year-old Jason Boswell sped off from a traffic stop in the Town of Orange.
Stop sticks stopped Boswell’s car, and a K-9 was able to nab him after a brief foot chase.
Boswell is facing a number of charges, including weapons possession, resisting arrest, and fleeing an officer.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A 25-year-old female and a 30-year-old male were arrested following two separate weekend vehicle pursuits.
Officials with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office indicated that around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander that was reported stolen in the 2300 block of SW Van Buren St. After initially stopping, the driver fled the scene south and then east. The deputy performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) maneuver, safely ending the pursuit in the 2000 block of SE California Ave.
Officials with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said the driver and sole occupant, Jupiter M. Miller-Spooner, 25, of Lawrence, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for the following:
- Felony flee or attempt to elude
- Driving under the influence
- Possession of a depressant
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of stolen property
- Driving while license suspended

YAZOO CO., Miss. (WLBT) – Three suspects are in custody after leading deputies on a chase in a stolen vehicle.
Chief Deputy Terry Gann with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle was stolen in Yazoo County Tuesday morning.
According to Clinton Police Capt. Josh Fraizer, the chase began in Clinton before reaching Bentonia, where it ended because of two successful spike strips.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop because of a dead-end on Pritchard Avenue caused by the bridge being out. The suspects then ran on foot before being captured by deputies.
Gann says patrol cars were damaged during the course of the chase. A Mississippi Highway Patrol helicopter assisted once the stolen vehicle reached Flora.

Two Randolph County men were arrested last week after leading police on a chase through five counties, including Jay.
David W. Atkinson, 30, and his passenger Jason Gerstner of Union City were arrested Aug. 27 and booked into Auglaize County (Ohio) Correctional Center following a chase that resulted in a Jay County officer firing shots and damage to two police vehicles as well as two vehicles owned by local residents.
Darke County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Office received a call about 1:15 a.m. Aug. 27 about a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado facing the wrong way at a stop sign. According to police reports, when a Darke County sheriff’s deputy confronted Atkinson and Gerstner, they fled. Police pursued Atkinson and Gerstner through parts of Darke, Randolph, Jay, Mercer and Auglaize counties.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY — New video has been released from the Ohio Department of Transportation of a pursuit involving a murder suspect on Interstate 75 in Auglaize County on Sunday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) troopers located a Chrysler Pacifica traveling on southbound I-75 in Hancock County at 1:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon, an Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesperson said.
Troopers said they believed the vehicle was driven by a murder suspect involved in a shooting in Chicago. A traffic stop was initiated but the driver did not stop, and a pursuit began.

Gotta catch em’ both: RCMP nab crooks in possession of allegedly stolen Pokemon cards – Canada
Cochrane RCMP arrested two Calgary men after a wild ride that allegedly saw the suspects tossing contraband, including a number of Pokemon cards, out of the windows of their vehicle as they fled to avoid capture.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 3, police came across a red Mazda 3 driving without its lights on.
Officers later determined the vehicle was stolen and attempted to stop the driver.
“The driver of the stolen vehicle was observed to be driving dangerously, almost causing a head-on collision with police, while tossing items out of the vehicle windows,” RCMP said in a release.

Suspect in Madison County mail carrier attack captured following high speed chase, search – North Carolina
The teen allegedly stole the car from Tucker Street in Cranbourne about 12.15am after the delivery driver left it running while taking an order to a door.
Police found the car soon after and began a chase, with a police helicopter tracking the car as it allegedly reached speeds of 150km/h.
Officers laid out stop-sticks in Lynbrook, which punctured two of the car’s tyres.

GUNTERSVILLE, ALABAMA: A man from Florida found himself in custody following a high-speed pursuit that spanned across two counties in North Alabama.
On a Monday, September 1, a deputy from Marshall County spotted a white BMW racing along Highway 431 North near Keller Shell at an excessively high speed.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported that the BMW dangerously maneuvered past two trucks on the road’s shoulder, narrowly avoiding a collision with one of them according to Waaytv.com
In response to this reckless behavior, a deputy activated his emergency equipment and initiated a pursuit of the speeding BMW, heading north on Highway 431 into Madison County.

A driver was riding on only his vehicle’s rims by the time a pursuit that began in Lewiston ended about 15 miles away early Wednesday morning, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
At 12:43 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy tried pulling over a vehicle near Saunders Settlement and Garlow roads, but the driver fled, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The driver’s vehicle struck a tire deflation device near Saunders Settlement and Campbell Boulevard, then headed north on Lockport Junction Road where it hit another deflation device.

Stafford County man leads police on chase before crashing, fleeing scene on foot – Virginia
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – A Stafford County man is being called the “Smirking Speeder” after he led police on a high-speed chase in broad daylight before crashing and attempting to flee the scene.
Around 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, a Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy was driving in an unmarked car on I-95 near the 141-mile marker when he saw a black Mercedes on the shoulder behind him approaching at a high rate of speed. Another deputy was traveling southbound on I-95 in a marked police motorcycle.
It appeared the driver of the Mercedes noticed the law enforcement motorcycle and entered the flow of traffic right in front of the unmarked patrol vehicle.

Milwaukie, Ore. — On Thursday, around 6:50 AM, Milwaukie Police were alerted by a concerned community member to a situation on the 2200 Block of SE Mailwell Dr. Officers were directed to check on the well-being of an individual reportedly unconscious in a running vehicle with headlights on.
Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious male in the driver’s seat of a 2000s model Subaru that lacked license plates. Drug paraphernalia and a tampered key ignition were visible in the vehicle. After checking the visible vehicle identification number, the police determined that the car had been reported as stolen.

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Law enforcement chasing a stolen hearse came to a dead stop in Choctaw County.
Sheriff Brandon Busby said his deputies put out spike strips to end the chase on Highway 12 in Weir.
The hearse was stolen from a funeral home in Kosciusko Wednesday evening.
Law enforcement there spotted the vehicle and tried to pull it over.
Busby told WCBI the spike strip flattened a tire.
Breezy News identified the suspect as 58-year-old Matthew Thomas of Kosciusko.
He was charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle, felony fleeing, and no driver’s license.

Two suspects arrested following Howard County pursuit – Mississippi
FAYETTE — Charges are requested against two suspects following a brief manhunt in Howard County.
The sheriff’s office says the suspect vehicle led deputies, Fayette and Glasgow police and highway patrol on a 25-minute pursuit before spike strips were deployed and deflated all four tires. The vehicle continued driving before crashing on the north side of Highway Z near Franklin.
Three suspects fled into a wooded area. Two hours later all three suspects were taken into custody. Although the third suspect was released, Wesley Mueller, 33, of Stover and Weston Klein, 31, of Versailles were found to have felony arrest warrants out of Morgan County. They are housed at the Howard County Detention Center pending filing of new charges.

Court Documents say on Monday, Aug. 28, A Fargo Police Officer tried to stop a reportedly stolen vehicle, but it took off onto I-29 heading into Harwood.
A short time later, a deputy saw the vehicle in Harwood and tried to stop it again, but it took off, going north on I-29 and exited in Gardner, ND. During this portion of the chase, authorities say the vehicle was going approx. 106 mph.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – One man is under arrest and facing several charges after a wild chase that reached speeds of 100+ mph and went the wrong way on the interstate.
Court Documents say on Monday, Aug. 28, A Fargo Police Officer tried to stop a reportedly stolen vehicle, but it took off onto I-29 heading into Harwood.
A short time later, a deputy saw the vehicle in Harwood and tried to stop it again, but it took off, going north on I-29 and exited in Gardner, ND. During this portion of the chase, authorities say the vehicle was going approx. 106 mph.

BENSON – A Caswell County woman landed in the Johnston County Jail Friday night after a chase involving Johnston County deputies. Around 8:16pm, a patrol deputy attempted to stop a red Ford F-150 pickup for a traffic violation on NC 96 South near the Sampson County line.
The driver refused to pull over. While traveling northbound on NC 96 South, the pickup ran off the shoulder of the road several times, authorities reported.
Another deputy was able to deploy stop sticks on NC 96 near NC 50 in the Meadow community. The truck continued northbound on NC 96 a short distance. Near the I-40 bridge, a deflated tire rolled off the truck ending the pursuit.
