Police Pursuit Success: Car Crashes Into House in Melbourne’s Southeast After Extended Police Pursuit – Australia

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) – Flashing lights lit up a section of Hwy. 10 in Moorhead when a wild, high-speed chase ended in the median.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department says on Monday, June 26 around 9:15 p.m. they tried to stop a stolen pickup along Hwy. 75 near Georgetown, MN.
Authorities say the driver wouldn’t stop for the deputy and sped off, going 100 miles an hour. Eventually, officials say they put out stop sticks and deflated three tires on the vehicle, but that didn’t stop the driver either and he kept going 50 tp 60 miles per hour.
A short time later, deputies used stop sticks again and deflated the fourth tire, but that didn’t even stop the driver.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A man stole a taxicab outside a Santa Rosa hospital early Monday, then led police on a lengthy pursuit, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.
It started around 1:30 a.m. Monday when SRPD received a report of a vehicle theft that had just taken place. It was reported that a man, later identified as 39-year-old Mario Christopher Territo, was leaving the hospital and had a voucher for a cab service ride.
“As the cab driver arrived at the hospital to pick up Territo, he briefly exited the vehicle leaving the engine running,” SRPD Sgt. Rick Boehm said. “While the driver stepped away, Territo entered the driver’s seat and fled the area without permission to take the vehicle.”

HERCULES — A man and woman people suspected of driving away from a store with three cases of shoplifted beer were arrested on suspicion of much more serious crimes, police said.
One police officer used a Taser while subduing the 23-year-old man suspected of driving the vehicle, and the 30-year-old woman briefly fought back as an officer arrested her, according to a statement from the Hercules Police Department.
Police said they were suspected of theft, evading police and attempted carjacking. According to police, they were in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility.
It all happened Sunday after officers were dispatched about 5:15 p.m. to a Rite Aid in the 1500 block of Sycamore Avenue. According to police, the reporting party told them that the suspects in the shoplifting were leaving the store’s parking lot in a white Chrysler 200 and on Sycamore Avenue while going toward Turquoise Drive.

Police Pursuit Success: Bedford man arrested on multiple charges after fleeing from officers with stolen vehicle – Indiana
BEDFORD, Ind. — A Bedford man is in jail and facing multiple charges after leading officers on a pursuit Tuesday afternoon.
The incident kicked off when the driver of a 2012 blue Hyundai ignored orders from an Indiana State Police trooper to pull over when traveling northbound on Tunnelton Road in Bedford.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and additional ISP troopers with the Bloomington District assisted with the subsequent chase.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Douglas Holbrook of Bedford, swerved the Hyundai in an attempt to avoid stop sticks at one point during the pursuit. In the same action, Holbrook rammed into a nearby fence and a 2014 white Buick.

SPENCER CO., Ind. (WFIE) – A man is in jail after sending Deputies on a high speed chase.
Deputies say they stopped Preston Hayse on County Road 300 South and told him to turn around because the road was closed.
Deputies say he did, but they realized his license plate didn’t match his car.
That’s when officers say Hayse took off.
The chase briefly shut down the Owensboro Blue Bridge.
After stop sticks busted all four of his tires, deputies say Hayse started running on State Road 161.

Police Pursuit Success: Update – Semi Truck Driver Arrested After Police Chase Through Ross County – Ohio

Ross County – A semi driver is in custody after not stopping for law enforcement and running across Ross County
According to early reports, the chase started on US-35 when OSP attempted to stop the Western Express driver. When they trooper got behind the semi it didn’t stop but kept going. The chase continued on US-35 and onto US-23 where the semi ran at 60 mph, but continued to run even with several units joining the chase.
Stop sticks were used in North Ross County on US23 and took out some of the semis left side tires. This slowed the semi to around 30 mph. Eventually, the driver came to a stop in the area of Orr road, but still would not listen to commands, a bite dog from Circleville was requested and was used to take the man into custody.

A Black Butte Ranch police officer deployed spike strips to stop a fugitive’s vehicle, and Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) deputies took two men into custody on Highway 20 west of Sisters last week.
The men arrested were suspects in a shooting incident in Redmond. According to Redmond Police Department (RPD), officers responded to the 1900 block of NW Cedar Ave., at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, June 26, regarding a shooting that had just occurred. Witnesses reported that a black passenger car drove by a residence, stopped, and a person inside the vehicle fired multiple rounds from a firearm at a male resident who was in the driveway. The suspect left the location.
Officers and Redmond Fire and Rescue personnel provided emergency first aid to the victim, 42-year-old Esaui Mutchler, who died of his wounds on Saturday, July 1. RPD shut down the surrounding area and the Major Incident Team (MIT) was activated to assist RPD in investigating the case.

Police Pursuit Success: Police charge three after pursuit in Ballarat – Australia

Ballarat detectives charged three teenagers. This followed a short pursuit in Ballarat on July 3. Detectives understand a stolen green Kia Sportage drove erratically. It drove near the Eastern oval just after 9:30 a.m.
Police attended the scene. Then, they deployed stop sticks. The stolen vehicle drove away. Police initiated a short pursuit.
Finally, the offenders drove slowly along the Bridge Mall. They crashed into a pole.

Police Pursuit Success: WATCH: Deputies deploy spike strips to arrest suspected reckless DUI driver – Washington
Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man. They said he drove recklessly while under the influence. Furthermore, deputies used air support and spike strips to stop him.
First, a deputy observed a pickup Friday night, June 30. The truck lacked rear license plates and lights on Sullivan Road. The deputy identified the driver as Hayden R. Vox. He said Vox drove 25 mph over the limit. Vox kept driving while the deputy followed him.
Subsequently, Vox sped up to 90 mph. Deputies called off the pursuit before Vox hit the top speed.

Police Pursuit Success: Chicago Man Sentenced For Fleeing Police in Grundy Co. – Illinois

A 28-year-old Chicago man was sentenced in a Grundy County court case on June 26th.
Xavier Jackson pled guilty to Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding Police, a class four felony and was sentenced to 30 months of conditional discharge. He was also sentenced to 60 days in the Grundy County Jail.
In late August of 2022, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a stolen vehicle driven by Jackson was travelling eastbound on Interstate 80 around 12:30 in the morning. A deputy observed the suspect vehicle at the 112 mile marker travelling at over 100 mph with the headlights off.
