Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Three teens arrested in kidnapping of man outside his home – Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three teenagers have been charged with the kidnapping of 29-year-old Zachari Pappas from outside his home Wednesday.
Reports say the kidnapping took place at 7 p.m. in the 3500 block of Philwood Avenue in the High Point Terrace neighborhood. The victim’s girlfriend was looking for him, as his car had been ransacked.
Through video footage, officers found the suspect and vehicle descriptions. Officers found that the last location for the victim was in the 2400 block of Chelsea Avenue.

Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Chases end with suspects in custody – Florida
It was a “twofer Tuesday” for the Jones County Sheriff’s Department when it came to fleeing suspects and high-speed chases.
Jack Stevens, 56, of Laurel was charged with felony fleeing, DUI-first offense, resisting arrest and traffic offenses after leading deputies on a chase through the Hoy Community that afternoon. Deputy Matt Bailey attempted to stop the Chrysler 300 Stevens was driving on Houston Road when he reportedly took off.
Other deputies and Constable Danny Gibson were converging on the area to try to “box in” the suspect as he nearly hit two units head-on as Stevens tried to make his getaway on Houston and Hoy roads, Lone Oak Apartments and Hoy Green Acres before finally ditching his vehicle and fleeing on fot to the Windsor Court area, according to reports.

Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Man, 24, arrested following high-speed chase overnight in Wood, Portage counties– Wisconsin
RUDOLPH, Wis. (WSAW) – A 24-year-old man is facing criminal charges after deputies said he led them on a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., Wood County Sheriff’s Department Deputy attempted to stop Zachary Zywicki near Highway 66 and 2nd Avenue in Rudolph. The driver did not stop. The pursuit continued into Portage County and reached speeds over 115 mph, according to a news release.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Department and Stevens Point Police Department responded to provide assistance.
Stop sticks were placed near Highway HH to stop the vehicle. Investigators said the vehicle crashed and the driver got out of the vehicle and ran away.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Last Thursday, Parma Heights Police were involved in a chase with a woman who later admitted it was an attempt at suicide by cop.
It started around 4:00 p.m. when someone in Parma Heights called 911 to report a black SUV driving off the road near Valley Forge High School on Independence Boulevard.
When police found the SUV and attempted to stop it, that’s when the chase began with the suspect driving on sidewalks, through flower beds, even sideswiping three cars.
The woman hit police stop sticks which flattened the tires on one side but did not stop the suspect.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. – A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody following a police pursuit in West Allis Tuesday morning, June 20.
It began around 4 a.m. after officers were dispatched to reports of a person attempting to gain entry to a car in the area of 77th Street and Greenfield Avenue.
While searching the area, officers located two vehicles in an alley near 73rd and Washington with their lights off.
The officer activated his emergency lights and siren and both vehicles immediately reversed through the alley and fled the area, police say.

MENASHA, Wis. – FOX6 News obtained video showing the Menasha arrest of Cordell Howze, charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Cashay Henderson, 31, a Milwaukee transgender woman.
Howze is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The arrest happened Feb. 28, two days after Henderson’s murder. Neenah police initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle, which then fled into Menasha. Police there successfully deployed stop sticks and took over the pursuit at a very slow rate of speed. Menasha police requested help from the Wisconsin State Patrol to perform a PIT maneuver, which happened on Appleton Road in Menasha.

Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Man Arrested After Two County, High-Speed Chase – Wisconsin
TOWN OF RUDOLPH, WI (WSAU) — A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a high-speed chase that began in the Town of Rudolph and ended after spike stripes disabled his vehicle in Portage County.
It started when officers in Wood County attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Zachary Zywicki. The vehicle didn’t pull over, sparking the chase.
Officers notified their peers in Portage County who were able to deploy spike strips near the intersection of Highway 66 and County Road HH. They successfully deflated the vehicle’s tires, and Zywicki crashed.
He fled the scene on foot, forcing officers to bring in a K9 unit from Plover. After an hour of searching, he was arrested.

PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – A high-speed pursuit on Interstate 59 has been reported on Tuesday night.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Department said deputies assisted the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office in a 100+ mph pursuit with a vehicle out of Florida.
JCSD deputies utilized spike strips on I-59 at Mile Marker 85 at the Howard Tech Park Exit to disable the vehicle’s tires.
Two people are reportedly in custody.

Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Four migrants hospitalized after high-speed chase ends in dramatic crash– Texas
ZAVALA COUNTY, Texas (WOAI/KABB) — Four migrants were hospitalized after their vehicle flipped over during a high-speed chase with authorities early Monday morning.
The chase began around 1 a.m. when a Zavala County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a Toyota Tundra along U.S. Highway 57 near La Pryor, Texas.
Instead of pulling over, the driver sped up and led the deputy on a high-speed chase that lasted nearly 20 miles along Highway 57. Another deputy was able to put spike strips down along the highway near Rural Route 187 in Batesville.
The truck’s tires hit the spike strip, lost control and rolled over several times.

Kidnapping DUI and Speed: Pursuit through Miami and Fulton counties leads to two arrests – Indiana
MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Two people have been arrested and face multiple charges after leading Indiana State Police on a chase through several counties.
According to ISP, around 9:10 p.m. Friday officers observed a speeding vehicle on US 31. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but fled at a high rate of speed. The chase reached speeds of 130 mph.
ISP deployed stop sticks at the intersection of Old US 31 and County Road 650 S., Fulton County. As the vehicle approached, the driver stopped before hitting them.
The driver, identified as 22-year-old Michael J. Leonard of Carmel, Indiana, and the passenger, 18-year-old Ciarra R. Blameuser, also of Carmel, were taken into custody without incident.
