Three female suspects face charges after a taking Winnipeg police on a wild car chase through the southwest part of the city Friday evening.
The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) said a police unit patrolling near the corner of River Avenue and Osborne Street around 8:25 p.m. spotted a sedan driving with no rear license plate, and its front plate hanging loose.
The car matched the description of one stolen on March 16 from the 100 block of Marion Street, and had been spotted two hours earlier in the Logan–C.P.R. area. When police tried to pull it over, the sedan began driving recklessly and fled

James Powell is charged with three counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of theft of property and more, according to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.
MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville man is arrested after he stole a truck, fled from law enforcement and broke into numerous homes early Friday morning, according to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.

Man arrested after 100-mph car chase in Clallam, Jefferson counties – Washington
A 24-year-old Port Orchard man was arrested after leading police on a two-county chase in a stolen car with speeds surpassing 100 mph.
Authorities said three juvenile passengers were in the vehicle as it eluded officers in Clallam County and then crossed over into Jefferson County.
Evan Skyler King was arrested just after 4 a.m. Monday, March 20.
The chase started more than an hour earlier as Clallam County deputies tried to stop a driver who was headed east on US Highway 101 for suspicion of driving under the influence.

A pursuit of a suspected DUI driver in Tacoma ended with the driver falling down a hillside and into sticker bushes on Feb. 27, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and recently released bodycam video.
On Feb. 27, a Pierce County deputy attempted to stop a pickup truck that was spotted swerving in the area of C Street South and Military Road South near Spanaway and Parkland.
While the driver refused to pull over, he hit a curb while turning onto Military Road South.

Man from Victorville takes officers on a high-speed chase – Massachusetts
VICTORVILLE — A man from Victorville has been arrested for leading police on a high-speed chase. Around 2:00 pm, police saw a black Cadillac failing to yield to an ambulance driving with activated emergency lights and sirens.
The officer then pulled over the driver identified as Elijah Janacua. During the stop, Janacua drove away and led officers on a pursuit.
Officers say Janacua was driving without regard for safety when he failed to stop at stop signs, and stoplights, and drove at high rates of speed over 100 miles per hour on the freeway, and 70 miles per hour on streets.

Armed suspect who fired on police has been taken into custody following overnight manhunt – Texas
FORNEY, Texas — UPDATE — An armed suspect who fired on police during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle has been taken into custody following an overnight manhunt, police confirmed Friday morning.
“The Sunnyvale Police Department has apprehended the suspect from Thursday night’s manhunt near the Meadowlake Subdivision off Jobson Road,” read a statement from the Sunnyvale Police Department. “He was unarmed when located.”
The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Omar Robledo. Police say he has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest in a vehicle, evading arrest or detention, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a public servant.

Man taken into custody after police chase: Deputies – Virginia
VINTON, Va. (WSET) — The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office said a man that was wanted is now in custody after a police chase.
Investigators received information from Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office that Henry Broderick Pack V was wanted out of their jurisdiction for six counts of felony elude and one count driving revoked DUI related, deputies said.
Pack was also wanted out of the City of Lynchburg for felony Probation Violation, deputies also said.
The vehicle was later spotted near Village Green Boulevard and stop sticks were used to stop it and Gagnon and his passenger, 44-year-old Shawn Mosca of Detroit Lakes, made a run for it.

100 mph police chase outlasts deer crash, ends with spike strips – Michigan
VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI – A police chase reached 100 mph late Tuesday night in Van Buren County.
A vehicle had an obstructed license plate when a Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull the driver over. The violation was spotted at County Road 388 near 32nd Street in Pine Grove Township around 11:50 p.m., March 28, the sheriff’s office said.
When the deputy turned on the patrol car’s overhead lights, the other vehicle’s taillights went out and the driver sped away, the release said. Police believe the driver, a 28-year-old man from the Otsego-area, turned off his headlights – leaving only daytime running lights on – to avoid arrest.

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested a David City man following a pursuit near Grand Island Wednesday morning.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., a trooper observed an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox traveling at over 100 miles per hour on Interstate 80 near mile marker 296. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to yield and accelerated. The trooper initiated a pursuit.

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – A 20-year-old man from East Grand Forks was arrested after leading authorities on a high-speed chase late Tuesday afternoon on Highway 10 between Frazee and Detroit Lakes.
The vehicle was clocked at over 100 miles an hour on a county highway, then turned onto U-S highway 10. The speeding vehicle went through “stop sticks” set at two points: one at the County Highway 54/Highway 10 intersection and the other at the Highway 10/Roosevelt Avenue overpass. Officers then decided to break off the pursuit.
They picked up the chase again at the western edge of Detroit Lakes once the vehicle traveled past the Highway 59 intersection.

–Springfield Township police say four juveniles were involved in a chase and crash featuring a stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.Police say at 1:13 a.m., Springfield Township officers responded to the 2400 block of Walden Glen Drive in Cincinnati for the report of multiple people breaking into vehicles.Authorities say the people were seen to be driving a Kia Optima which was previously reported as stolen.Officials say responding officers located the optima traveling south on Hamilton Ave., north of Struble Road, and followed the car to allow assisting officers to put pursuit-limiting measures, such as stop sticks, into place.Police say the stop sticks were deployed near the intersection of Hamilton Ave. and Meredith Dr., where the car struck them but continued traveling south on Hamilton Ave. for less than a mile.According to officials, the vehicle “became disabled in an accident”

ST. GEORGE — Two suspects have been indicted on felony drug charges following a pursuit in Sevier County, one of whom is being held in Washington County while awaiting trial.
Dylon Kelly, 19, and Navin Daryan Wright, 20, both of Grand Junction, Colorado, have been indicted in federal court. Each faces one count of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
Kelly is being held in Washington County where he is on a federal U.S. Marshal’s hold.

Roseburg Police jailed a California man following a chase Saturday afternoon.
An RPD report said just before 5:00 p.m. dispatch advised that they got a call regarding a stolen vehicle being tracked on Interstate 5 northbound in the Roberts Mountain area. Officers spotted the vehicle as it came through Roseburg and initiated a traffic stop near the Winchester exit. The sedan continued and pursuit was started. The vehicle went down multiple roads in the Wilbur area until spike strips were successfully deployed.

Suspect in Centralia Robbery Arrested After Pursuit Sunday – Washington
A woman accused of robbing a Centralia business, hitting an employee with a stolen car and leading law enforcement on a pursuit Sunday is expected to face felony charges in Lewis County Superior Court.
The suspect, identified as Jessica L. Rose, 39, of Clarkston, is accused of stealing “an abundance of items” from a store in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 12:20 p.m. on March 26. When confronted, Rose allegedly “struck an employee with the stolen vehicle she was driving and fled the scene,” according to the Centralia Police Department.

On March 10, Jose Ricardo Cortez-Sanchez, 26, Union City, was arrested and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving and improper passing. According to reports, Cortez-Sanchez was arrested by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on other charges relating to a more than 70-mile high speed chase on Interstate 20 with speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour. Reports allege that Sanchez-Cortez was driving a stolen F250 pickup truck. A Madison Police Department officer utilized stop sticks.

CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Newport man is in jail on attempted murder charges following a chase north of Charlotte.
Carteret County deputies say Christian Cruz was wanted for Saturday night’s stabbing of Antonio Gomez. The 39-year-old man was stabbed multiple times all over his body at the Sea Scape Mobile Home Park.
The stabbing came after a disagreement between roommates, according to deputies.
Deputies said Cruz took off in the victim’s truck which was spotted Monday on I-40. Authorities in Iredell and Catawba counties chased the vehicle for 25 miles.

West Allis police chase; vehicle stolen, 1 in custody – Wisconsin

WEST ALLIS, Wis. – One person was taken into custody Tuesday morning, March 28 following a police pursuit in West Allis.
According to police, officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the area of S. 65 Street and W. Lincoln Avenue. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit ensued.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed during the pursuit and the vehicle became disabled in the area of 21st and Lincoln.

Man charged in pursuit pleads not guilty – Kentucky
A Wyoming man was arraigned Thursday on charges that stemmed from a January chase in which two of the vehicle’s tires were punctured by law enforcement stop sticks.
Michael R. Barry, 38, appeared in Pulaski County Circuit Court with his attorney, Robert Norfleet.
Norfleet entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Judge Teresa Whitaker set a pretrial hearing in the matter for April 27.
Barry is currently out on a $25,000 bond.

Police standoff in Maumee ends early Thursday; suspect hospitalized, summoned – Ohio
MAUMEE, Ohio — A police chase that started in Perrysburg ended in a standoff with the driver in Maumee early Thursday.
The standoff took place around 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of South Reynolds Road and Dussel Drive. The pursuit began after Perrysburg police tried to pull the suspect over and he refused to stop, leading a short pursuit into Maumee at very low speeds.
Stop sticks were used to stop his van at Reynolds and Dussel. The suspect refused to get out of the vehicle and gas was eventually deployed into the van by officers.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A David City man tossed a bag of marijuana out of his car Wednesday during a pursuit near Grand Island, the Nebraska State Patrol says.
Around 7:15 a.m., a trooper tried pulling over a Chevrolet Equinox that was going over 100 mph on Interstate 80 southeast of Shelton.
The driver, 25-year-old James Speicher, continued east, passing other vehicles on the shoulder, according to the patrol.
Speicher eventually exited I-80 and drove north toward Grand Island before heading east on Highway 34.
