A multi-jurisdiction police chase came to an end in Port Huron early yesterday morning, resulting in a man’s arrest. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, a black Chevrolet Impala wanted by authorities in Sanilac County was spotted on 24th Avenue in Fort Gratiot Township shortly after midnight. A St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputy pursued the vehicle, with the driver of the vehicle ignoring the deputies’ lights and sirens. The suspect then attempted to enter the Blue Water Bridge where he turned around and fled westbound on I-94, traveling in the wrong direction for a short period of time.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 24, 2023 (Gephardt Daily) — A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after leading police on a high-speed chase in Summit County and then taunting law enforcement following the pursuit.

Police say Ricardo Aguire topped 100 mph in cold and icy conditions on westbound Interstate 80 before stopping near Kimball Junction, then telling the arresting Utah Highway Patrol trooper: “It took you long enough to catch up.”

The pursuit began about 9:40 a.m. when a UHP trooper observed a black Nissan Versa traveling an estimated 90 mph on I-80 near Wanship, according to a probable cause statement filed in 3rd District Court.

FORT GRATIOT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A stalking suspect fleeing from St. Clair County police sped through an empty toll booth, had three of his four tires flattened by stop sticks, and eventually crashed into a patrol vehicle and a Port Huron snow bank.

Deputies in Sanilac County issued a “be on the lookout” just after midnight Tuesday into Wednesday (Feb. 1) for a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala. The driver had fled officials who went to investigate a stalking complaint, they said.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Two Marion County teens were found with multiple guns in their car after fleeing from deputies during a traffic stop.

Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the car the two 16-year-olds were traveling in. The teens fled at a high rate of speed until deputies deployed stop sticks that flattened the car’s tires.

One of the teens attempted to run from deputies but was caught by a K-9.

LAMAR — A 42-year-old Elizabethtown man is facing aggravated assault and other charges after a high speed chase along Interstate 80 in Porter Township on Jan. 29, state police at Lamar said.

Police began the pursuit of a Honda Civic, driven by Joseph Fisher, along the roadway when Fisher failed to yeild to emergency lights and sirens, police said.

The pursuit spanned between mile marker 175 and mile marker 147, with Fisher allegedly ramming his vehicle into a police cruiser before continuing to flee, police said.

Agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit initiated a traffic stop that led to a pursuit on I-10 into West Baton Rouge Parish on Jan. 31st.

The suspect, identified as Quentin Vezia, got off the interstate to avoid the spike strips that had been deployed by West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.

Two College Station men are facing numerous charges after taking Navasaota Police on a high speed chase through Grimes and Washington County.

Around midnight on Tuesday, NPD spotted a stolen Honda in the 700 block of West Virginia Street. As the car headed to FM 375, and officers tried a traffic stop, and it fled towards Highway 105.

Eventually, with assistance from Texas DPS, the suspects hit spike strips, and the chase ended at Highway 105 and Blue Bell Road.

RED WING — A 28-year-old South St. Paul man was sentenced in Goodhue County District Court to 365 days in jail for fleeing police with two juveniles in his vehicle following a 2021 traffic stop near Pine Island.

Deandre Amaud Harrington appeared before District Judge Michael Wentzell Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, where he pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor charge of endangering a child in a situation that could cause harm or death as part of a plea deal that dismissed several other charges related to the incident, including felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. Wentzell sentenced him in accordance with the plea deal.

A Missouri man pleaded guilty in federal court to the armed robbery of a T-Mobile store in Kansas City, Mo.

Derrick C. Davis, 22, of Lee’s Summit, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Greg Kays to one count of robbery and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime. Co-defendant Vondell D. Walton, 21, of Grandview, Mo., pleaded guilty on Dec. 6, 2021, to the armed robbery of a T-Mobile store in Raymore, Mo., and awaits sentencing.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was arrested Tuesday after he left the scene of a crash and led police on a pursuit, both in a vehicle and on foot, according to Indiana State Police.

Tyler L. Tweedy, 29, was arrested for crashing his car into a semi-truck and fleeing the scene. According to a news release, it all happened near mile marker 16 on I-65 near Memphis, Indiana.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Dry Branch, Georgia man after he led deputies on a chase.

Deputies did not release the name of the man pictured but they said he led deputies on a pursuit from an east Macon residence into Wilkinson County.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Authorities arrested an 18-year-old after police say he allegedly led Columbia County authorities on a chase following a traffic stop.

The Portage Police Department stated that officers pulled over the suspect on New Pinery Road. The driver identified himself and police said they allegedly smelled marijuana. During the stop and while waiting for backup, an officer learned that the driver had previous charges of fleeing and eluding, operating a stolen vehicle and possession of a firearm.

Three suspects accused of carjacking a male and female at gunpoint were arrested following a pursuit through various areas of Merced County on Tuesday, according to authorities. According to Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Erich Layton, deputies responded at around midnight to a reported carjacking at a taco truck in the area of Yosemite Boulevard and South Santa Fe Drive in Empire.

CLEARWATER, Kan. (KSNW) — A 25-mile police pursuit of a stolen vehicle in southeast Kansas ended with a rollover crash and a man in custody Monday afternoon.

According to Clearwater Chief of Police Kirk Ives, the chase started around 3 p.m. in Wellington when Flock cameras picked up the license plate of a stolen SUV out of Wellington.

PORTAGE, Wis. — An 18-year-old man was arrested after police in Portage said he fled a traffic stop in the city and led law enforcement on a chase through part of Columbia County Monday afternoon.

In a news release, the Portage Police Department said an officer stopped the 18-year-old on New Pinery Road around 2:50 p.m. and smelled marijuana in the man’s vehicle. The officer then learned the man had a history of possessing a stolen gun, driving a stolen vehicle and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.

A Salina man is facing charges of domestic battery and kidnapping after allegedly punching his girlfriend.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that 38-year-old Jason Lytle was arrested following a chase on Friday. Police say the charges link back to abusive behavior on three occasions in mid and late December.

Lytle reportedly punched the 23-year-old female victim in the face, and tried to strangle her during a couple of domestic disputes.
